Tonight is the final of the German version of Popstars: The Rivals, pitting the boyband winners Overground (only four of them, have a slight street look) and their cover version of Color Me Badd's "I Wanna Sex U Up" against the girlband winners Preluders (who despite having a halfcast member instead of a ginger, look suspiciously like GA, and there are five of them), and their cover version of REM's "Losing My Religion".
Pundits in Germany say that both songs are rubbish, but Preluders' is slightly better. So will Germany's "Das Duell" go the same way as "The Rivals"? I'm sure I'll find out sometime...

Please, please tell me you've heard Losing My Religion? what on earth have they done to it? Eurobeat?

I saw a bit of it last week in a hotel in France. They were all crying. Nice and cheery!

Overground won, but only just. Clearly the German public are more hoodwinked than us, if we followed the German blueprint, that "what if OTV had been #1" thread could have been total reality.

To be fair, both of our PS:TR bands released cover versions. Ours were just less well-known.
