 Betty Boo! Back! March!

God it feels good to write that. According to Teletext page 351 and further confirmed on Planet Boo, Alex James of Blur has a new band (as we knew) called Wigwam and they've recorded their debut album in Betty Boo's studio paid for by Hear'Say. See, they were good for something after all!

Read:

STOP PRESS!!! - Confirmation from the woman herself - Betty's new band is indeed called Wigwam, a project with Alex james from Blur. Alex himself had Betty on the 'Evening Sequence' show on BBC 6 Music, on 25th October, a show he was hosting as stand-in for Tom Robinson. A single is due out early 2006.

Oooh la la.

If it flops you're all dead.

I do hope that the world will be suitably awed by a comeback by the divine Ms Clarkson

Yes! About time too! I hope she still dresses like a 60's space woman. However I feel uneasy about a man who named his child Geronimo being involved.

Hopefully the Wigwam thing is a nod to the Sweet's Wigwam-bam and will not feature native american chanting and other Damon-from-Blur world music style wankiness. But hurrah for the return of BB!

Fantastic!

Is this project going to be anything like the Gorillaz one with Damon? Are either Alex or Betty Boo fronting the band? Or both?I hope there is more of a Boo influence than Blur. Her pop from the early 90s still sounds revolutionary now. This could be the best event in pop since Girls Aloud entered the scene. And Wigwam is an inspired band name, I love it.

This is the bestest news ever! I'm slightly hyperventilating at the thought. I hope there are some ground-breaking hand-wavy dance routines.

It was exclusively revealed in The Sun today that Betty Boo and Kim WIlde are making a comeback this year. My goodness, some of you must be psychic if you know this before that Newton person does.

Alex James has commented that Wigwam will be 'pure pop'.

Which is why they'll piss over ALL other groups this year. I feel ill with delight just thinking about this event. It'll be the pop apocalypse that The Faders never threatened to become!
