"You know you've gone downhill when Girls Aloud ask you to support them on tour"
That was Edith on Geri Halliwell during tonight's chart show. After hearing her sing on Fame Academy last night, I don't think Girls Aloud would even dream of asking her to support them on tour.

Haha is Geri Halliwell really supporting Girls Aloud?
Edith Bowman irritates me. She is the second reason I don't listen to Radio 1 (the first being Chris Moyles, obviously).

OH MY FUCKING GOD! Geri and Girls Aloud!! Well, my GBF (Gay Best Friend) is going to have *no* problem pulling at that concert!

I love how Steveweiser only puts people in this section of the board because they've slagged off Girls Aloud.
Also, there was already a thread on Edith. Ages ago.

The picture of her that did the rounds in most of the celebrity magazines, where she is cycling in London, looking bewildered and wind-swept is a classic. She reminds me of an "Official Non-Lesbian" who I went to school with who has has a fiance. She's really quite ugly, and I think that is where my dislike of her stems from.
I really would love for Geri to support Girls Aloud - it's a good opportunity for her in all seriousness. I can see what Edith meant, but it could be a positive thing for Geri should she swallow her pride and do it (hell, if she can swallow Chris Evans then she can swallow supporting a girl band superseding her old band).

Here in Glasgow, their concerts were due to take place on successive Fridays at the same venue. Although Geri's was cancelled when it became apparent that the auditorium would resemble a scene from 28 Days Later (whereas GA's concert has sold out) I very much doubt she would be approached to support an act she helped create. It would be beyond humiliating.

After hearing her sing on Fame Academy last night, I don't think Girls Aloud would even dream of asking her to support them on tour. Or maybe she wasn't actually (shock horror burn the bitch at the stake etc) slating Girls Aloud, rather noting that as the woman who was in the biggest girl group ever, and helped put together GA, has now apparently gone to asking to support them on tour, is rather ironic. Also is it even worth pointing out that saying GA wouldn't ask Edith to support isn't much of an insult as why would Edith ever want to support GA on tour? She's a dj, not a singer.

thisisnotatest...and everyone else...no offence meant, but I love my GBF, and he loves everything camp. Therefore I love the thought of seeing that line-up performing. I personally don't think Geri's that great, but she's perfectly camp, and that'll please the GBF. Fuck the politics of it all.

Also, there was already a thread on Edith. Ages ago. Hmm. Then surely it's about time to discuss the horror of Jo Whiley's Mini Me again. I'm always a bit wary of having a go at people for discussing a topic which may have been brought up before. One of the most awful things about the Popbitch board was/is how dull it got having people post things only for a page of posts shouting 'Corn!' and calling the author a cunt repeatedly. I'd have rather just read the rumour twice. Sorry, I'm being a bit over-sensitive. I

I love it so much I laugh when I think about it. Tee hee, hee hee hee! Any Geri bashing is grealy appreciated by myself although Edith herself looks like a burned Spotted Dick. She's so fucking ugly, honestly, a face I could never tire of kicking.

Geri is shit. There is no other way around it and I'm sure not all gays listen to mongs. I pray some of them like good pop and not that cheaply strewn together rubbish. Back on the subject matter, I hate Edith Bowman too.

I don't mind Edith as a radio presenter, although her music taste is a bit dodgy. At least she's with COlin, who despite coming from an indie background loves Girls Aloud.
And please, no Geri as support act.

In my book, rubbish things can be only be camp if they are unwittingly crap, and done in earnest. However, when the intention to be camp is so forced (as in Geri's case) and the end product is shit, it loses all its camp credentials, being in no way spontaneous or outrageous.

I swear I put other people in here too for other reasons. Crazy Frog found his way here a while ago, and he's done nothing to GA, but plenty to me. And there were some other things, which I can't remember.

I saw Colin Murray filming something outside Baker Street station last year. I shouted 'CUNT' at him. Although other people assure me he's not as bad as the Bowman, that hasn't been my experience. They are global leaders in the Axis of Mediocrity, unleashing their weapons of mass predictability as part of their Jihad of blandness.
(That was intentionally shit, before you complain about Iraq metaphors being done to death. I thought the metaphor should match the subject matter in its originality and zest.)

Obsessive Fag-Hag, much? Are you one of those lonely girls who "just love gay guys"? Oh gimme nicotine, gimme caffeine! That message would be borderline offensive, if it was not so tragic. I love Gina G and Kelly Marie for being camp, and love Geri too, but ... actually, words fail me. I bet you get jealous when your "friend" talks to other girls and makes them laugh. Hahaha.

Hey, entitle me to my opinion...Geri's camp, in the pure sense of the word, yes, she's also a tad shit...but by the by, she's alright by me. I can think of worse people to support Girls Aloud. On topic, I don't even mind Bowman, she's funny...looks a bit like Gollum sometimes, but overall, bish bosh. I think you should get him a little badge saying GBF, or maybe get it tattooed on his forehead? He's already donating me his sperm.

Geri would be a horrible GA support act, ya know, cuz of the shitness. They should have M.I.A.! But that's probably just me.
I like Edith, she seems nice if dull. Her and Cat would make a good couple.

Speaking from a 'GBF' point of view, I would much rather see Girls Aloud supported by somebody more appealing and less, how do you say it, shit than Geri! Don't get me wrong, she did well for herself in the Spice Girls, but her time is over. Just let Girls Aloud on for the whole two hours or whatever it is! Or maybe we could have Edith Bowman supporting them. Wouldn't that be interesting. Debbie Harry eat your heart out!

She looked very uncomfortable wearing a slinky dress on da Fame Academy. Are we still thinking "lesbitarian"? Has there been any further corroborating evidence since the last Edith Bowman Is A Fool But Colin Murray Is Worse thread?

Now I've always disliked the Edith really quite intensely, but last night my hatred reached new heights.
I gazed open mouthed at her sanctimonious "I'm all about the music" attitude.
Fair enough her voice is fine, but I thought that was the point of Fame Academy anyway.
Actually, I can't go on, I really don't have the words. Sorry..
