The groups are getting better every week. Indeed - so just what is Simon's problem? Haifa was on the first Pop Idol. I couldn't believe they didn't mention it. I was waiting for Simon to say something along the lines of having always liked her, or Kate at the very least saying 'good to see you again'. Yes to all of that - I couldn't understand it. I suppose they see hundreds of people, but Kate will have spent all week with her on the ITV2 stuff, so what's that about? V. odd. I think they'd have mentioned her if she was on the first series of x facfor, but Pop Idol is a different show and they probably don't wnat to mention it.

I hated that girl they put through on this Saturday's show who did her "five reasons I'm going to win" speech before she went in, which included "I'm a star" and "I'm really pretty". She was so arrogant I wanted to punch the telly. She wasn't even that great a singer. I really hope Sharon/Louis (not sure how old she was) kick her out in the first round of boot camp.

Yeah I hated her. Simon was right when he said he has loads of people that sound like her.

That was 27-year-old Michelle. Sharon took an instant dislike to her. She could sense something negative about Michelle. Another Steve Brookstein? I wonder. Anyway, Sharon has the over 25 Category.

Why is Sharon a judge on this programme? Some of the most talented contestants' in her group, have been rejected. SAM - AARON - taxi driver INIS - Bono lookalike Any Chance of Sharon winning this year has been completely destroyed.

Sharon's lost the plot, surely! She put the most rubbish contestants through. They were just cringe-worthy.

I don't think there is a single act left who wouldn't be laughed out of the building if this show was on in America. The talent in this country is truly embarassing.
That's not actually true. I know at least 20 people who could out sing anybody left in but wouldn't dream of making a complete fool of themselves by going on a programme like this. For every Will, Lemar or GA there are dozens of Javine's, Rosie's, Roxanne's, Zoe's, Darius', Sinead's, Paris' etc who effectively ruin their career before it's even started.
It's fine if it's your final shot like Rowetta or Steve but I truly think that real young talent is steering clear these days.

How many times has Haifa tried to make it in the music biz now? Pop Idol, attempting at representing the UK in Eurovision 2004. How come none of this was mentioned on the X-Factor? Anyway I think she is dull and a pretty average voice. Give up the ghost love - she's like the female equivalent of Andy Scott Lee!

At least Louis made the right decision with his contestants.'
Keep Shane & Trevor in the competition.

WHY has Sharon let Chico through? He can't sing to save his life, and the Latino-love god, shirt-off, I-love-laydeez schtick is extremely tired, even if he was sexy enough to pull it off. I really hope she sees the error of her ways next week, although depressingly I don't think she will.

He's totally gay. I don't mean he's rubbish, I mean he's homosexual. It's all a joke. He can't really sing, but that's not really his point, he does have a fun personality. I don't think he'll come anywhere near winning though, or even get in Sharon's top 4 - hopefully.

That's if Sharon doesn't reject her too. Simon has a group called, 'Addictive Ladies' . They have great personalities, but THEY CAN'T SING!

I liked the guy Richard Peachy (tall, dark hair, slight Gareth Gates gap tooth look about him) mainly because he's fit. But fair enough if he couldn't remember the songwords, i guess thats kind of key to it. I just felt pretty sorry for him, he'd obviously tried! I thought he had the X factor. I was disappointed last year after boot camp as everyone they put through was pretty boring. Fortune and the two younger boys seem like the only ones that could do well out of it....but then i could be wrong, its hard to judge from snippets. Oh and fourth base? What are they...16 year old boys trying to prove they've had sex? I remember Haifa from the ITV2 pop idol extra when she was interviewed and implied that she wanted to smoke drugs ("i need a reefa" then covered her face and realised what she'd said, whilst Kate Thornton tried to brush over it....)does anyone else remember this?

Between the girls Chenai would appeal to a wider audience. Keeping Nicholas and Shane was a good move. Don't know about Philip. I would have kept Trevor. Anyway, Louis has already signed Trevor to his management firm. Good Luck Trevor! Good luck to Louis' Fab Four.

Trevor has potential, but he was at serious risk of fucking up on the live show. Apart from crying like a big old girl last night, his timing and phrasing was all over the place.
His image wasn't right either. He could be quite good looking when he's a bit older and got rid of the nasty rings, spots and training in not pulling ugly faces.
Good for Louis if he is willing to take him under his wing and develop him instead of pushing him into the business before he's ready.

Poor Sharon, She's completely lost it. Andy, Brenda & Chico in her final four. Sharon's contestants' will be in the bottom two, every week. Maria stands alone. Bring back Innis, Aaron & Sam. As for Simon, he puts Addictive Ladies in the final four! Sharon & Simon are making things easy for Louis and his contestants' to win. Philip could surprise us.

Im sick of X factor. Everyone complains about generic boy bands taking over, but every year they pick the same type of people to win, and the vicious circle starts all over again.

To be fair, all these wannabe pop singers are magnificently irrelevant!
The judges are all that matter.

I only caught a glimpse of this yesterday but reminded on how unlikable this show really is when louis kicked out that guy with glasses because he had an 'image' problem.

WHY CHICO?! He has all the charisma of a piece of smegma and he CAN'T SING! I know they're supposed to be looking for somebody with all round entertainment value, etc, but he can't hold a fucking tune to save his life and he's an irritating twat to boot. The worst thing is, I can imagine him getting quite a long way in the public vote rounds because people will think he's "fun". I'm not sure I'm going to be able to watch X-Factor any more until he's been kicked off, such is my utter hatred for him!

It's lost a lot of its entertainment value for me now that the complete weirdo crap has gone. Cheesy Chico is just yuck. I thought Steve Brookstein was slimey until I saw Chico. He'll probably win.

I've just heard some disturbing information about an X-Factor contestant. Please could someone tell me is there a newspaper story about Shayne, or a family member connected to a rape case?

There is a story in todays mirror saying his father is in prison convicted for rape, but it also says that Shayne has not been in contact with him for years.
