So I read in the Sun today (yes I know...) that Ma Burns is in jail for stalking an ex boyfriend? Is this true? Is it the boyfriend he recently became engaged to?
When is his autobiography coming out?

Can't help you out with the stalking/prison thing but I got his autobiography Freak Unique last week, it's really good.

There's quite a few articles on this floating around on the net.
Here's one from Digital Spy UK:
Pete Burns has been jailed for breaking bail conditions imposed when he was accused of harassing ex-boyfriends.
The cross-dresser was last week electronically tagged and told he must stay at an address in Merseyside in the day and stay outside the M25 except for court appearances.
He broke the conditions at least twice, however, West London Magistrates were told. They decided the Big Brother star must stay in Wandsworth Prison, South London, until another court appearance on Tuesday.
The 46-year-old is accused of harassing an ex-boyfriend and is banned from seeing former-lovers Jason Peters and Michael Simpson.

Pete burns in prison? I know prison can be harsh but are jail guards really setting inmates aflame?

Presumably, he's put been imprisoned for crimes against literature. His book is easily the worst 'autobiography' I've ever read, which is a travesty considering the life he's lead.
All the interesting stuff is glossed over, or worse still, not even mentioned, while he rants and rants on and on, endlessly about his plastic surgery. I love him dearly (he's clearly a genius), but the book is shit.
I want my eighteen pounds back.

I love him dearly (he's clearly a genius), but the book is shit. I want my eighteen pounds back. ... well the man is opinionated and intelligent but a genuis? Come on - sure, it was easier to say that when he had some mystique about him, when we could look back at the things he'd said and done. But now that he's back on the scene, we can see him for what he is: a freaky D-List hasbeen. Go away Pete, while your fans (of which I am/was one) have still got some decent memories of you. Interestingly, I was at Wig Out the night he got arrested (although I didn't see or hear any of the commotion), he was waltzing around with the tousled hair, a tiara (!) and a bra top, LOVING the attention he was getting. Ultimately, he's just another Soho tranny and I hoped he was more than that.

I thought it would be good as well.... he always seemed like the kind of guy who couldn't help but tell the truth, but if this is some kind of whitewash job I'm disappointed. Oh, and the cover is ATROCIOUS. I mean, what was he thinking.

It's nothing to do with mystique, although I'd agree that his recent overexposure hasn't done him any favours. It's all about the music (man). Listen to 'Nude' or 'Nukleopatra' and tell me that they're not, clearly, works of genius. Oh, and the book cover looks very much like one of those cobbled together, £1.99 cheapo biographies from bargain book shops. Much like the contents of the book really.

No no no. Look, I was a fan, still am kind of, but Pete Burns is very definitely a one trick pony. He's got his thing, which he does better than anyone, and he's to be congratulated because ultimately he's parlayed a very limited, narrow talent into a 20+ year career and earned a fortune in the process but there's only so much you can do with a booming voice and thumping Hi-NRG beat, which explains why DOA have released so few albums in total and apart from the odd single., nothing new since, what, 1995?

Genius is pushing it (and I am, obviously, a fan), but 'Isn't It A Pity' is certainly worth a clean up and a rerelease; in favour of seventeenth annual version of 'You Spin Me Round', at least. Cheerio, Michael. xxx

I'm just finishing the book... Hmmm... I was very excited and highly expectant but it's actually pretty bad...
By bad, I mean there's loads of typos, spelling mistakes, even some Dead Or Alive track titles are wrong and well known celebs names totally mispelt. It feels rushed... was it even proof read? It's very messy and doesn't flow too well, jumps all over the place, repeats the same thing over and over, one piece of text appears twice describing two different people but they are wearing exactly the same outfit - what a mess! But I'm sort've glad I read it...
It's interesting and the early parts about his mother are fascinating, but he's no writer. Quite an easy read mind you (done in 2 days). But that cover - jesus christ! I thought maybe a nice Evolution-style cover... for someone so obsessed with visual appearance, it makes no sense! Anyone else read it yet?

I was in about four bookshops last night and couldn't find it... now that's probably NOT because they're flying off the shelves so fast! Is it only available online? Do it actually even exist?!
The whole things just smacks of contempt for the fans.

There's something a bit disturbed about him, have you seen the pic in Heat with his bollock hanging out of a g-string? Ugh!!!! And he has a massive scar on his stomach which just looks so vile, is he all there? Is very sad.

He had the wall of his stomach removed to repair his face/mouth... there was a tatoo on it but he lost that. The chapter on his surgury nightmare is quite an ordeal... I got my copy from amazon for £11 and it was sent last week so it is out there...

I am pleased to read Pete's own fave DOA track is and always will be 'What I Want (Dance Mix)' and he states he will always open live sets with it. It is pretty f*cking amazing... I wish they'd get that 2CD 12" Mixes collection sorted - I was gutted when EMI Japan pulled it. I like Pete - he's totally entertaining and far from perfect. Stars aren't so unique thesedays.

I agree.... I swing back and forth about him these days...
Sophisticated Boom Boom is their best album... What I Want & Misty Circles are GREAT songs
He always seemed like he had a bit of integrity about him but I'm not so sure. Celebrity Big Brother showed him to be a vile, self obsessed queen.
I always believed him when he said he had no neuroses because he took all these things out on his face but that's so not true. He seems to be going through a major burn out at the minute. One day he's on Richard & Judy saying we're soulmates me and Michael, and LITERALLY the next day they've split up. He's got no more wisdom or insight that the rest of us, he's just LOUDER and FREAKIER.
Having said that, DOA have got at least a half dozen classic tracks and that's more than, say, Boy George (and don't start me on him!).

I can forgive Pete pretty much anything for giving the world the genius Nude album. Stock Aitken Waterman music done better than Stock Aitken Waterman.

He is totally wasting his Moment!

Actually, he's never done drugs. Apparently. He's not big on sex, booze or drugs... I think he's fascinating and I guess the fact the book doesn't really reveal very much just continues the fascination. I think his mother really made a big impact on him, whether he says so or not. She was fabulously insane by all accounts... I do recommend the book, despite it's faults. It's a bit like reading an old notebook in places and has a few high points.

Poor Pete - it's heartbreaking to read about all of his troubles! Hope he pulls it together. Meanwhile, I'm shocked that he, of all people, would hold back details in his autobiography. Maybe he's saving it for another book?
