tbh, 85,000 viewers sounds more plausible than 600,000 viewers.

I laughed audibly at this who knows, she'll probably still miss the top ten...
Last night we was discussing it and she NEEDS this new single to be big, cause if it gets to say #8 and drops like her from a record contract... that isnt going to be enough to get her on to TV/Radio/Emap/press for the follow up is it!?

I caught up with some of this last night when they were showing back to back episodes. What a hideous bunch of people! I think the worst was Michelle who had been going on and on and on about wanting Andy to propose, and when he finally did she said she was so happy and loved the ring but it'd have to go back to the jewellers to have more diamonds put in! Ahh, the romance. And Lisa S.L was a total bitch, self centred and cloying. Her manager just wants to be back in the spotlight and clearly wasn't/isn't doing a good job. All round compelling car crash TV, I had to rip myself away from it.

So much car crash I felt I had to turn off.
Poor Lisa, so excited about the gig at Swansea football club that she only got because Noel Sullivan turned it down. And her father's pride in the fact that she managed to sing the high notes. It's like watching a body bag being zipped up.

I saw her struggling to sing a few words in tune in the recording studio on mtv, she kept repeating the same phrase before she got it right.
she seems confused as to why she isn't making it - why don't acts like her look at the people who are doing well to see that they have something individual to offer?

Yeah, she seemed pretty nervous when she performed.
The song is really good though, and i hope it gets top 10- I'm even going to buy it (and i hardly ever buy cd singles).
Visually it looked cool. I remember both her performances for Lately and Too Far Gone both looked really good too.
good luck lsl !

Did anyone just see LSL on CDUK? Tragic. The poor lass is going to be a fucked up mess by the time all this MTV stuff is done with.
If she doesn't make Top 10 (which I suspect she won't), the rejection will be too much. The interview on CDUK was bad enough. They did a text poll whether she should quit music. 57% said yes she should and she tried to claim it was a really positive result while looking close to tears. It's like a car crash....

In 1 confusing phone call , that I admittedly missed the start of, this show suddenly became so much more compelling, like I always thought it would be. If I were Lisa, as well as sorting out her weird right hand side facial dimple, I would be absolutely livid that my brother was trying to upstage me on my own car crash reality TV show, documenting my much-hyped last chance at becoming a solo artist, by asking his festered tampon of a girlfriend to marry him.
I love getting the idea that there is ill-feeling between the first lady of Lee, and her future-face-like-a-baboon's-swelled-in-heat-ass-Heat-reading-sister-in-law Michelle. A funny moment was a typically surly and repulsive Chelle ignoring Lisa's manager Nathan trying to dance on cue for the camera's, by interrupting where is Lisa? tragically conceding inadvertantly just who has the clout around here. Then the lady in question and her willing-to-be-on-TV best friends share some unfunny puns (Too Far Scone, anyone? Didn't think so), smugly pretending to be drunk, but at least not caring 1 oita that they forgot the present they were giving to hound face at her party, whilst not looking out of place on a grimly inevitable lightly-themed Hen night in whichever major city around the UK.
But I do not really have much faith in her record company actually caring what happens to her. I wanted to smack that obese dowdy record company bitch in the face, with a large, still alive trout. Her wisdom stretched as far as saying unconvincingly that an artist does not always know what is best for them, and later, when hearing Lee wasn't sure about going with Electric, hissed disgustingly does she want the deal or not? Jesus, it is not as if the girl's career supposedly-as-far-as-selling-the-show-is-concerned depends on it or anything. It does add tedious drama, I guess, but drama all the same. And I love when singers like her get these results against most of the odds, like pulling a rabbit out of a hat, but I can't imagine her never returning should she miss her target. Her other brother-with-a-non-camera-shy-girlfriend looked anorexic; I thought he was simply a Gay hanger on. But Lisa failing to inject any life into the domestic cliche family comes first seemed to act as an accurate representation of all her disillusionment and naivety on show here, that ultimately makes her so endearing.

haviong just watched the CD:uk interview, was it just me or did she seem to be a tad pissed off by when the Laverne asked about the MTV tag for the show - "Chasing fame is a desperate game" - i'm wondering if she's begining to regret the whole deal.

I loved yesterday which was the first full episode I watched. She was doing her video wearing a corset and worrying about her tits being on display too much(surely having done loaded, fhm etc. loads that's actually moderate for her) and her dad was taking photos for the family album. And it was like a litttle cottage industry and in the episode she said about 10 times 'I've got the single i've got the record contract i've got the video now'
I think that she should be very grateful for the tv show as I think it will help when releasing her single. I am not sure she would have got a new single if she hadn't got the tv show and also now tv shows have something new to talk about with her so more reason to book her.

Is there any form of Totally Scott-Lee Marathon Night planned?
Somehow I've managed to miss every single episode so far...

Her pure, undiluted desparation embodies everything that's wrong with pop at the minute.
She should be dropped off a building.

MTV have given her a second series. Maybe it'll be her trying to cope with having to quit the music business, maybe it'll be about her comeback, who knows?

CDUK were cruel doing that poll when Lisa was there, probably the idea of Lauren Laverne who loves humiliating the uncool celebs.
a Top 10 single means so much to Lisa, what will she do when the mtv series isn't there for her?

If she has a second series commissioned it will be sort of self-perpetuating. The people at MTV will want to film her doing some moderately showbiz things, so where her manager might fail her, they won't. They'll make sure she gets invited to the right places and does the chat shows and interviews that both promote the show and give it content.
It'll be easier for her to get other gigs if she's doing a reality tv show and people will come along to her dodgy PAs because she's on a reality tv show.
She might have flop singles, but if she's featured in a hit tv show, the tabloids will keep on talking about her, even if they take the piss a bit.
