Phixx 'may' be taking part. It's all done by our Scott-Lee loving Nathan Moore.

The band members include Russ Spencer, Austin Drage and Martin Ryecroft - the promo says it's a four-piece band, but I've only found info about three.
EDIT: It starts on Tuesday April 11th at 10pm on E4, right before Girls Aloud's documentary series.

Talk about lowering yourself. Who's lowering themselves? Those prepared to watch it or those taking part?

Both, surely. Reality TV is scraping the ground underneath the barrel now.

I watched the first episode last night, it really is a sad reflection on the former "stars" taking part. I didn't think anyone with the Fast Food Rockers on his CV could go any lower.
They all come across as incredibly desperate in trying to recapture the spotlight they arguably didn't have in the first place.
Hardly any of them can sing, many of them now work behind bars and the guy from Scooch looks like he's wondered in from a local building site.
Having said that it is oddly compelling and I'm looking forward to the next expisode. Total car crash TV...

Whatever it was it's been airbrushed from his biog.
What could be that shameful?

Were 5Boys the Irish boy band in the mid 90s whose USP was that they were all openly gay? Or did I imagine that?!

I'm sure I'd have heard of an Irish boy band with that USP. And I haven't.

5Boyz were a crap band who did some pop shows about three years ago. The most fame they ever got was when one of them got linked to Cheryl Tweedy for about a couple of weeks.

So is Martin the boy from Fast Food Rockers? I always had a shameful crush on him.
This will be unmissable trash TV of the highest order. I only wish the lovely Aaron from V was taking part.
From E4 listings:
Former 80s boyband star Nathan Moore and music industry guru Olivier Bezardi want to pull off one the most audacious stunts in the history of pop: passing off a bunch of former male stars as a hot new girlband. Having raided the pop scrapheap, Nathan and Olivier have chosen their band. Now the boys have got just four weeks to record a single, make a pop video and play live to an audience of thousands. It looks like an impossible challenge. Six foot two inches Russ Spencer is built like a prop forward. Nineteen-year old Austin Drage is a gym-freak with Popeye biceps. Only slim, leggy Martin Ryecroft seems to have the potential to make it as a girl. The boys' total transformation will be helped along by a crack team of choreographers, stylists, make-up artists and voice coaches. Immediately thrown in at the deep end, the lads are kitted out with bras, corsets, padded pants and false boobs. But while Martin embraces his new girly shape, Austin and Russ are in despair. No question - they look like men in dresses. And after a shaky session with the vocal coach and a confidence-shattering lesson on nine-inch stilettos, all three boys are starting to have their doubts.

I've been looking forward to this for ages! My friend knows Martin - he now works as a dancer in Essential in Manchester! I'll have seen him there but not realised it's him. How exciting!

How disappointing, I thought they were supposed to be boyband members - unless the girls in Scooch and Fast Food Rockers were actually men as well!

Austin Drage is the sex. That is all. Agreed. But who is he? Where did he come from? I do hope the programme sheds some light on this.

Austin is tres pretty but strikes me as a Lee Ryan. This was the tv equivalent of a McDonalds- it was mortifying. I assume the boy from VS has backed out then?

Love it! I was in flop pop heaven - Scooch! Allstars! Fast Food Rockers! Erm, 5Boyz...
Anyone should smell a rat when Nathan Moore says "Trust me"... I liked the smell of desperation that ran throughout the whole show.
How lickable is Martin looking these days?
At least they will look more feminine than the Pussycat Dolls.

I think you're right - all the promo I've seen has a 3 piece band but who knows? I was shocked when he agreed to it (less so when Martin did...)
