I liked Alexa on today's show. The thing she did with The Ordinary boys was nice and I liked her interview with Matt Willis, although I have to say Simon & Miquita confronted 'issues' head on when they did it. Basically Alex interviewing Matt would have been brilliant (he is now going out with Alex's ex girlfriend) and it's not something S & M would have skipped over if they had been in the same situation, i don't think.

Absolutely terrible. They should just be themselves instead of trying to copy Simon and Miquita's style... that's what makes it painful.

Gotta say I REALLY warmed to Alexa this week.
''Everyone seems to have forgotten about donkeys these days. They were good enough for Jesus and yet no one wants to use a donkey as a mode of transport anymore''
And the whole 9 to 5 routine cracked me up about brushing her teeth, locking her door which makes a funny noise and going to the Portugese cafe. And then there was the old fart on the Ordinary Boys shoot ''Do you do this for a living or just for a hobby?''

If they would just let them be themselves rather than re-hashing Simon and Miquita's "greatest hits" it would be a lot less painful to watch. I'm thinking particulalry of 'Will On A Hill' which I had to watch behind a cushion.
I'm still not sold on Alexa, she seems to think that being rude and sarcastic = comedy gold.

I have to say that I wtached it for the first time this week after reading all the condemation here that I actually enjoyed it. They weren't bad and i think a lot of people will have to accept that they will adapt and also that the Popworld programme will have to become slightly more mainstream as there are no othewr saturday morning popshows about.

If they would just let them be themselves rather than re-hashing Simon and Miquita's greatest hits Only the presenters have changed, not the production crew. A lot of the ideas and general direction came from them, so having similar features is not "copying".

The show isn't bad as such, but it's nowhere near as good as it was.
That said, I really like Alexa now. She does the interviews very well.

Because of a bathroom leak I was actually up early enough to watch it last Saturday. One word, DREADFUL. Alex tries to bitch in the same way Simon did, and for obvious reasons he just can't get away with it. When interviewing The Ordinary Boys Alexa seemed to want to let the public know more about herself than the band (this pissed me off and I don't even like them!!). The worst moment was when they said some prick out of that two-some band (I forget their name) had GOOD HAIR, it looked like a pony was hiding behind him and shatting on his head. Blatantly trying to be "in", the show was full all indie, guitar-esque bands.
