I'm new to this board, so forgive me if I've posted in the wrong place!
I was just wondering if anyone else has seen ex-boyband members doing a hard days' work.
I saw a Jame's of ULTRA working in an estate agent in Slough, and my mate saw Stan from Northern line working in a canteen!
Anyone else been served by the ex-famous and non rich too?

exactly what i was thinking!! If i did see any one from Ultra of Northern Line i think id make them feel a litle better and ask them for their autograph, id probably put my gum out in it later but im sure theyd appreciate being reminded of the 'fame' they once had.

I saw Schelim of Worlds Apart "fame" in the 24h Tesco in Trafalgar Sq. last summer. He was shocked because 1. someone recognised him and 2. that someone wasn't Cal, Aaron, Patric, Dan (note to self... LOSER!) or one of the million Worlds Apart members or a french girl but a person frm Greece. He wasn't working there, just shopped, he looked "interesting" and we talked for ages. He said they played a radio gig in Athens, Greece and really liked it. Beats certain N sync members writing "I love Grease" in a magazine autograph thingy.

I saw Maxwell from Big Brother earlier but he's not really famous or ever in a pop group. Just thought I'd share it with you all though!

Leon from Pop Idol II served me in High Jinx on Carnaby Street over a year ago. He's a would have been popstar..maybe..possibly..I think he knew I recognised me, me and my friends weren't very subtle. Well we were trying to "psst, look!" at a friend looking at jumpers across the room but she just kept saying (loudly) WHAT? Who's he? WHAT?

I was out at a gig the other night and everyone were excited because a superstar had sauntered in so I turned and saw....
Federico from Big Brother 4.
"Big Brother? Big Deal!" I sneered. I also laughed because his nickname on the Big Brother messageboards had been 'Fagerico' - God knows why I thought that was funny but I just did. He left with a woman who looked about twelve. My friend Elaine, when I told her afterwards, burst out laughing and said: "He has such a small cock! I saw him stripping on screen one night."
Words failed me.
My sister also slapped Kelly Llorenna and Claire from Steps. So she says. I'd believe her though.
I can beat you all. I met Tom Baker. Doctor Who himself. Ha! So these people aren't in bands but that's no big deal for my boasting.

Your sister sounds like a great person. Does she wear tracksuits a lot?

No. Why would she? Are you insinuating that only tracksuit wearers are violent? Actually my sister is very fashionable - she just happens to slap people who compare themselves to Annie Lennox. Good on her I say.

I'd get really excited if I met anyone from Ultra or North and South. Proof, if proof be needed, that I need to get a life.

Oh I once was on the tube with the red haired small one from North & South. He had DJ bags with him I think.

Didn't he say it was Northern Line? North and South weren't that bad, Tom was FIT! ANd he now has his own band apprently I have some of their stuff downloaded. It's not brilliant but if it gets him back on the TV then I'm all for it.
On the topic of TV shows, North and South had one called No Sweat Can anybody remember the one where Tom fell in love with a girl? He sang a ballad on his own at the end (very un-North And South-ish) and it was great! I can't remember what it was called or indeed how it went, but I was just wondering if anybody remembered it and if so, do you know if it was on their unreleased debut album "Allsorts"?
That is all.

Do members of Lemonescent count? Tesco @ Maryhill shopping centre in Glasgow. They don't work there ... officially. I bumped into Noelfromhearsay when I was down in London. I was far too tipsy and desperately asking for directions, with a bus to catch in some worryingly near time. I did blurt out the God-awful are you Noel from Hearsay? Only after he smiled like a 5 year old winning a Gameboy, I intercut loudly before he'd even finished saying yes, ANYWAY, where's the bus station? It was really in the moment, but his face dropped and I felt I sufficiently redeemed myself. I bought their first album 2 days ago for 97p in ASDA.

Stan from Northern Line?! There was no Stan. I did see Michael from Northern Line once walking down Kings Road carrying a puppy. Also used to see Michael Ultra everywhere, mainly around south west London or at gigs. Saw Tom from The One leaving a theatre as I was passing. I'm sure I've seen loads more, but forgotten about them! Oh just remembered, J from 5ive was sat next to me in the net cafe a couple of years ago.

Quite sadly I saw the blonde one from Triple 8 (David??) at a party for Katie Melua that my flatmate got me into.
He was very pretty, but looked a bit silly wearing a beanie hat in a sweltering room. He just perched on the corner of a table all night.

I saw a Jame's of ULTRA working in an estate agent in Slough, and my mate saw Stan from Northern line working in a canteen! ElectricBarbarella is right, there was no Stan in Northern Line or any other boyband that I have ever heard of. There was, however, a Sam in North & South who used to get called Stan by their manager in the TV show. Of course he wasn't really their manager, just an actor. He was last seen on Michael Barrymore's My Kind Of Music, except he wasn't singing, he was with a younger guy who sang and Sam/Stan was just his partner in the quiz bit. He said he worked in a recording studio. I don't think he won. Otherwise, perhaps you meant Dan from Northern Line? It does rhyme with Stan. The other members were called Michael, Andy, Zak (I think that's how he spelt it) and Warren. Andy incidentally turned up on the first series of Pop Idol with a made-up surname of Love and was later spotted (only by me, although I did pass this info on to Popbitch in the name of Northern Line rememberance) in the chorus of We Will Rock You on The Queen's Jubilee concert. I only ever seem to see dumper-type pop stars, I don't know if this is because most British pop bands I like end up in the dumper or just by chance. Maybe proper pop stars are too busy being properly famous and important to be seen. My highlights include Suzanne Shaw (with Darren Day) in Camden, Jamie Shaw (I'm trying to collect all the Shaws in pop) with Nikk and Chris from Phixx during the Popstars days at a Will Young concert and I regularly see Suzanne from Pop Idol in Reading. The most famous pop star I have ever spotted was Dougie from McFly (outside Urban Outfitters in Camden again), except ironically this was in the days before McFly actually were famous and no-one else would have recognised him. See, I am the most rubbish celebrity spotter ever! I will never get a job on Heat's 'Spotted!' page. Oh, and my mum claims we saw Sid Owen in Brighton but I wasn't paying attention. I lose at celebrity spotting! Jessica

My Ex-band members I've spotted.
1)- Jo and Bradley from S Club (seperately). They were doing PAs at Dublin clubs, I got to sing a verse of "Reach" when Jo sang it.
2)- Briyan McFadden. I saw him after his Dublin gig. I asked for an autograph but he told me he didn't have a pen...so I asked for a handshake instead.
3)- Keith Duffy. He was handing out the prizes at a raffle I was at. I told him I used to get slagged for being a Boyzone fan, and he told me he got slagged for being a Boyzone member!
4) Liz McClarnon. After another PA. She had three security guards to bring her to here car...even though only two fans asked for an autograph!
Oh and I was nearly run over by OTT once.

I once sold Ronan Keating far too many cold and flu medicines when I worked in community pharmacy. He clapsed with exhaustion a week later. I've always felt really bad.

I saw Giles from upside down buying wine in Balham. Also saw Ally Begg from Bad Boys Inc. in a club in Glasgow. Oh and I let Samantha Mumba get the last black top in Topshop in Oxford Circus that we were both eyeing up. They only had one size 8 left and I thought I would be gracious!
Have seen many more people round and about but like the more obscure spots.

David Beckham, however this was pre-Victoria days, well I think it was, I met him in 1998, when did they get together, if so i can say I bet Victorias boyfriend or husband, not overly fussed on the fact i met him. He was nice enough though and did speak to my dad lots and made him happy. I smiled happily pretending i knew about the game of football they were talking about.
