If anybody has bought the single, I'd be really interested to know what the mixes are like?

If anybody has bought the single, I'd be really interested to know what the mixes are like? Not hugely impressed with the B-side I must say, nor the mixes. But I've only had one listen so far, There's a small feature on BBC news news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4863968.stm. Not much in it that's new but something nonetheless. And the singles reveal a website www.checkingoutmywigwam.com. There's snippets of two other tracks on it - I'm waiting until I get home to check them out.

Just listened to Rock Me Non-Stop. Seriously, this is amazing stuff. It's great pop but not show off pop. Betty Boo honestly is a genius at this type of stuff. It's so unpretentious and catchy as fuck.
EDIT: PopJustice is on the links!

Love the new songs... let's all buy 20 copies of 'Wigwam' this week and make sure they actually get released!

If WigWam flopping puts Betty Boo off her solo album (and let's face it - the most important cultural event in music since Salt Pushed It With Pepa) then I will personally go crazy. We need Betty Boo to save pop. Without her it's just Radiohead and rainstorms.

Let's just say that she'll be lucky if they're top 75 by Sunday. Seriously? Is it a bomb? I'm glad, sort of. I'm not sold on the song - it sounds incomplete, like a demo, and there's an air of slumming it to the whole thing which I'm finding a little bit unappealing.

What worries me is whether Betty Boo will take this as a sign nobody wants to hear her genuinely brilliant pop music and thus force her to quit. It would be a travesty if that happened.

It's not a fantastic track, but I would still like to buy it. The trouble is, I don't buy CD singles any more and 7digital doesn't have it to download.

People do want to hear her brilliant pop music, but unfortunately, this track isn't it. I admit I wasn't expecting it to do very well but to miss the top 70 is a shock. I don't think people really 'got' it. I hope she does continue, but not with material this lacklustre. I love Betty.

When I spoke to Betty she said she is determined to get working on her own stuff as soon as possible, that she isn't writing for anybody else right now, only herself. It wasn't the second LP's relative failure that made her disappear in the first place, remember, it was for personal reasons. I'm typing up a full interview just now which should be on the Planet Boo website in the next day or so...

Yeah, but I don't use Napster. I can't download from sites that involve having to install their software on my PC. I use 7digital because I can just download the music from their website directly.

The BOOtleg is great!
I disagree that this material is lacklustre - I think the song is one of the most fresh things in current pop music environs. In reality, however, the whole concept of pop is just not happening at the moment, is it?
Where are the long-gone days of S.A.W supremacy and pop ubiquity?
Whomever said pop will eat itself (it was, in fact, PWEI) was probably right. I thought pop was so called because it was a way to describe popular music. Nowadays it is only the discerning crowds, the intelligent music 'appreciators', who even bother with pop and - to make a hugely unfair, rude and over-the-top generalisation, the common people have made other, less interesting and exciting genres into popular music. Exhibit A: boring punk rock (thousands of bands literally recording the same kind of music - myspace is overflowing with that drivel); Exhibit B: formulaic R'n'B.
Yikes this turned into a rant, didn't it. I was only going to say that WigWam is fabulous and the pillocks who go out and buy records nowadays are probably simply not clever enough to 'get it'.
I am going to relocate to a safe haven now for fear of being murdered. Ta ra.

I didn't say that the record was rubbish, but anyone with ears would be able to tell you on first hearing it that it wasn't a Top 10 record. It wouldn't have been one in Betty's heyday either. It's certainly catchy, but doesn't have enough about it to make it into what can be a tough chart.
Betty's great, yes, but this song isn't good enough to a) win a new fanbase and b) be a big hit.

Sorry, but a lot of you lots blind love for Ms Boo is clouding your judgement - the song is just mediocre - never trust a man who wrote "Vindaloo" to have a hand in your comeback. Also the naff band in Animal costumes just underlines how bad they are compared to Gorillaz - if it was supposed to be an ironic sideswipe or something, it backfired really badly - which is all a great shame, because like everone else on Popjustice, I want to support anyone who tries to make great pop - this just wasn't it...

The thing is, the song itself isn't cheap or lacklustre. It's the video and that seems to be clouding your judgement. This is great pop music! Though I can understand why some people would dislike it - Alex James in a skirt would scare even the bravest Blur fan. Personally this song fills me with hope that Betty Boo will soon make the comeback I know she's capable of making.
