Sorry if this has already been done as a thread, but I really couldn't be buggered to go back a check.
I thought it would be faintly interesting to have a quick peek at the fountain of all mostly-maybe-accurate knowledge, Wikipedia, for what was number one in the charts on the day of our birth.
Dan: Kelly Marie - Feels like I'm in love
Tommy: The Police - Every breath you take
To be honest, I'm not sure if the my one's the one I'm thinking of. Is it the one with a Pigeon Street-esque electronic tom-tom noise? If it isn't, then I don't know it. If it is, then that's pretty amusing.
I'm jealous of Tommy for having such a classic though. Bastard.

Oh I dunno. I'd prefer Kelly Marie and the Disco Pigeons myself.
Mine's ABBA - Knowing Me Knowing You.
Which explains a lot.

Mine was, as far as I'm aware, the most overplayed of gay anthems ... I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor.

Suicide Is Painless (The Theme from MASH). I like that song, but only the movie version of it - the TV show was shite.
That's for May 30th 1980. I'm now into my last 2 weeks of 25 - gah, ageing!
Oh, and Dennis, "Whispering Grass" was a song to accompany the old, somewhat racist BBC sitcom "It Ain't Half Hot, Mum" about UK soldiers in India. Pretty shit all told, but a bit of Windsor Davies can't be beat. ("Mwraaaargh, Smallbridge!" "HO, HOOO!")

9th Feb 1983. Single: Men at Work - Down Under Album: Men at Work - Business As Usual Curses...if I'd been born five days earlier I would've had a decent Number One song to celebrate! As it is, being born on Feb 14 1983, I'm stuck with Kajagoogoo - "Too Shy," which seems to get trundled out at the pub across the road with alarming regularity. In terms of Australian singles, I fare MUCH better: "Gloria" by Laura Brannigan!
