I wasn't happy with that - why let guff like Akon, Mario and Bodyrockers do two songs, plus Doves with a dodgy mic, when they only let Rachel do one song? I guess it was a snap decision because most of the girls in the crowd were booing her...

I was watching a bit, but was half sunbathing/barbecueing/getting hotting/licking ice, so I didn't see much. Wish I saw Mario, really love that track now. Rachel was ok, but I only saw the last line of the song. I would have actually gone if i wasn't at the other end of the country.

I've just returned from Pop Beach. It was awesome, and I managed to interview loads of very nice popstars. And get sunburn in the process. Poor Rachel didn't get a great reaction though......

I honestly think Rach has one of the better voices in pop. Technically Rachel has a great range, she tends to avoid chest singing, plus she's got a versital style. On the other hand, other artists (like Gwen Stefani who I love in No Doubt but her solo music tends to be shit) has a weak thin "I-want-to-be-a-soprano" voice. It drives me nuts when Gwen sings live. Maybe Gwen should try miming her solo shit.
I'm not one for getting all pissed off at dissing artists, but be justifiable at least.... at least.

There is a big difference between the execs thinking you look shaggable (therefore sellable) and you actually shagging those executives to get them to sell your records. |

Can we have a discussion of Rachel's outfit please. Surely I wasn't the only one to be disappointed that she turned up in jeans. Admittedly, it was probably too hot for the PVC outfit from the video, but the gloves just didn't go with the denim look...
