Because frankly any country that can have Usher at number 1 with that Burn crap for 2 weeks is asking for it.

Oh but he's so buff even though I don't usually like black men and he's not up himself, he just likes shagging ladies and then bragging about it and 'Burn' is beautiful even though it sounds exactly like 'U Got It Bad' and blah blah blah. An Usher fan, yesterday.
Usher is a prat and so are the little girls buying his pro-pyromania single. 'Burn' is quite an apt name. Like Clea's 'Download It', the song title tells you what you should really do with it.
But we Brits are dumb. We let Atomic Kitten have a successful if short career afterall. Although it is over, we have Jenny 'The Omen' Frost to contend with now.

No, it's someone else singing their records and hiding back-stage at concerts and they mime. Crayon is very observant in that respect. For example, not many people would notice that we promote Atomic Kitten on here, but underneath the veneer of cynicism and regular criticism there are subliminal messages whereby we encourage the unsuspecting reader to go and buy their wares.

I remember the days when it was acceptable to like B*Witched. I remember the days when R'n'B and hip-hop stayed in the lower regions of the top 40. I remember the days when pop music had a chance of getting to number one.
I remember the days when England wasn't America.

Yes, R'n'B has somehow taken more and more place in the charts but there are still some good pop songs making their way to the higher regions. I'm sure Rachel Stevens will do well for instance. On the other hand, Kylie couldn't even get Top 10 in the US with ICGYOut Of My Head. EDIT : Oops. Actually she could.

Erm, it was top 10. And the album, top three............ Damnit. You're right. I was convinced it fell short of a top 10 placing. 13 or so. I'm quite disgusted with my memory and will go into hiding for a while.

You can't really miss B*Witched, can you? I do, or at least the B*Witched of the first album. I still maintain that they were replaced by some alternative universe version of B*Witched - C*Witched, maybe - by the time of album 2. But yeah, the Usher single is a bit dull really, isn't it?

I quite like our single buyers- they know good humour. You've got to love a public who purposely propels the likes of Mr Blobby and the Teletubbies to number 1, just to stop other, more established acts getting there.
Granted, we take out comedy pop shenanigans abit too far but it's all in the name of good craic. Fair enough, I don't get the Burn obsession but we're not a bad lot really.

What bothers me is Usher seems to get more popular as his music gets worse. U Got It Bad and Nice And Slow were far superior ballads, but they didn't do so well and I maintain that My Way is his most poptastic album. 8701 and Confessions have far too much filler, but at least the former had decent singles.

Usher's just considered cool at the moment with the 14 - 18 age group who are more inclined to buy singles. Sales aren't high either right now. Having said that I quite like his new stuff.

Indeed, Usher seems to have filled the void that Justin Timberlake has left since he started boning Cameron 'Boy's Name' Diaz full time and forgot about his music.

I personally think Burn is a better version of U Got It Bad- his vocal performance on the current track is a lot better and quite impressively 'nimble' (I am a wanker). And Yeah is pretty unconventional- a typical Atlanta crunk beat married to an RnB vocal, which isn't some that's been done before, certainly not in the mainstream. He's an arrogant annoyance, though, and the third single is bunk, as they say.

To add to all of this, he is going to be re-issuing Confessions, with just one song, that song being If I Ain't Go You, in which he just sings the second verse, and is already on her album!
Obviously, the GBP will lap it up......

Obviously, the GBP will lap it up...... Not so. The version of If I Ain't Got You is the B-side to Alicia's next single (the thoroughly fantastic Karma, which you all know about because you have the album, yes?). The new track is entitled My Boo, and will be the next UK single rather than Confessions Part 2. Which can only be a good thing, as CP2 is dross of the lowest order.

Uh excuse me, ALL of the Sugababes are excellent singers ESPECIALLY Mutya Buena. Usher may be able to sing, but Confessions is just a rip off of his last album AND add into the equation the fact that he's the biggest cock ever to walk on Planet Pop. Even the people at Vibe magazine hate him!

Oops! My bad.
Anyway, he's still an arse for re-releasing a 4 times platinum (in the US) album.
p.s - I thought Alicia's next single was Diary? Karma is great still.

Usher's level of up own arseness and general wankerdom means that I refuse to buy any of his CDs and I find to enjoy them on any level. I thought Yeah was great, and when I forget it's him I can sing along, but Burn is too obviously him and he makes me want to turn the radio off.

I despise both Usher songs with a vengeance - they both give rnb a bad name.
Burn is just a horrible, crusty, been there done it before, cliched rnb song, which IS just You Got It Bad with different lyrics.
Yeah isn't even a song. Nice production and all that, but take it away, and the song doesn't really have a tune or a discernible chorus.
Appallingly bad.

It was just so shite. It had no fucking tune. And what was the shit ass dancing they did in the video? He looked like a bigger knob than usual.
