Completely self-righteous arsehole. Makes good music but is completely into himself. I want to slap him.

Agreed. There was once a time when in the eyes of Smudge, Justin of Timbertail could never have put a foot wrong. But anyone who single handedly pioneers the end of the mighty NSYNC deserves to be hated by at least three quarters of the solar system.

But anyone who single handedly pioneers the end of the mighty NSYNC deserves to be hated by at least three quarters of the solar system. Well they apparently had a group meeting last week so we'll soon know for sure. I wouldn't trust the media to tell the truth on these things. They can print the most ludicrous things. I still thoroughly enjoy that piece of news explaining that Lance Bass had fallen out with Justin because he felt like he should have Justin's success because he believed he was the best singer of the band. But if Nsync is indeed disbanding because of Justin I'll be without mercy in my hate campaign.

I hate Cunterlake for a number of reasons: *His constant whingeing about Britney's mental state. Noone mocks Britney Jean. It makes it even more repellant when Britney is crucified for ever even mentioning the so-called-Timberlake. Anyway I would have shagged Wade too, given the chance. *That annoying beard of his. He looks like an AIDS victim. *He passes off an album that he apparently 'wrote' as his own when it was masterminded for Michael Jackson before it went a bit Lisa Scott-Lee. *He is Melanie Chisholm in male form (but less butch). Apparently he is too big for The 'Sync now. JC was infinitely superior anyway. *He is not JC Chasez. *You can't imagine him singing a song as daring as 'All Day Long I Dream About Sex'. *Wimplestilskin completly distanced himself from the Nipplegate episode leaving Poor Miss Janet to cop the flak. Cunt. *He upset Britney. Cunt. *His Justified tour was the most mindnumbing thing ever. Crap sets, no audience interaction and a 17 hour beat boxing session does not a good gig make. In conclusion, he is a cunt. Heres a charming picture of Lance Bass to ease the pain: Isn't he ace?

I really liked Justified when I first heard it, but I can't listen to it now. At all. And I completely agree with Monsta about the tour, it was a disappointment and something of a swizz. The beatboxing thing seemed to go on forever - I think I actually went to the bar during that. Even despite that, the show was very short - I'm Lovin' It and (And She Said) Take Me Now were tossed off in about 40 seconds each! Compared to the only other concert I've been to this year (Pink) it fell short on pretty much every level, not least value for money (she played for about an hour 40 minutes, for about 15 quid less than it cost to see Justin).
I think if he were to vanish for about 4 years then come back with something truly amazing, he could yet regain some points.

I lurved him, but he jumped the shark with the McDonalds ad. Yes! How can you respect someone who does something as tacky as that? I know it's hypocritical because I didn't feel the same way towards Britney/Beyonce/Pink when they did a Pepsi advert, but I just can't take him seriously anymore.

I used to love the Timberlake. My love for him started peaking at about October last year at ended on 3rd December (the day I saw him live). Although it was very nice to see him in the flesh, because you know you so 'would'. His performance was just lacking. He mimed most of the performances (did he recieve the same uproar Britney did? did he fuck) and he seemed very 'selfish', as in it was HIS performance he was going to do what he liked even if it wasn't going to get a reaction.
And I hate his Britney slagging - get over it.
And his McDonalds thing is just sickening and was the straw that broke the camel's back in terms of me losing all respect for him.

He mimed most of the performances (did he recieve the same uproar Britney did? did he fuck) To be fair he didn't mime as much as Britney did. Or if he did he had recorded seemingly live vocals to hide it. Apart from RYBody you never hear during the show the vocals as they were recorded for the album. In Britney's gig, you did all the time and that's a bit frustrating. I quite enjoyed his show actually. I even liked the beatbox bit if only because he made me realize thay Like I Love You sampled Kraftwerk. I have no sympathy whatsoever for I'm Lovin It though.

i *loved* the timberlake...still hoping for a 'lovin it' release, but since Diaz it's all about how much more tragic they can make Britney look. He's so arrogant and I find that only acceptable when one has something to be arrogant about. And quite right on the NSYNC...there'll never be that long promised reunion...suddenly he's too good for them? WE WERE PROMISED A TOUR...

I dislike him as his continued pop success means he is unlikely to ever reprise his role as Screech in TV's Saved by the Bell, putting paid to my dreams of a Saved by the Bell: Class Reunion TV Special.

I dislike how all the magazines decided he was cool despite Justified being quite shit and In the Zone having at least 6 or 7 pop gems on it and getting panned.

6 or 7?? Which ones were these? I can name 2 maybe 3! I'd go for Toxic, Showdown, Breathe On Me, MATM Rishi Rich version, Touch of My Hand (sorry), I Got That Boom Boom (double sorry), and maaybe Outrageous if I was desperate. His four singles were amazing but Justified was such a let down. The Neptunes do far better work with Kelis, and Timbaland equally did much better stuff with Aaliyah, and still saves all his best beats for Missy. So all in all it's presence is not particularly "Justified". Guffaw. Also, he's incredibly arrogant, and let's not forget what his hair looks like grown out people. Pubehead isn't the word. No wait, it isn't *a* word, but you catch my meaning. I also think Q saying Justified was the sixth best album of the year is more than enough reason to hate it.

Obviously I'm huge Britters fan but anyway gems on ITZ: MATM (original), Boom Boom (bar the Ying Yang bits it's a fun club pop tune), Showdown, Breathe On Me (can you say: Classic?), Early Mornin' (the most grown up thing she's ever done), Toxic (single of the year), Everytime (one of the few ballads I really love, gorgeous.) and Brave Ner Girl (yes I know it's day glo and tacky but it's such fun!).

Justified has nothing on it which even approaches the grating dullness of Don't Hang Up or the amazing ineptitude of The Hook Up. The former manages to make phone sex sound like the world's dullest activity. As for the latter, you can probably count the number of white artists who can carry off dancehall on one hand. Britney isn't one of them.
Two serious rivals to Dear Diary as Britney's career low point.

If the mags are going to pick a pop album with a few good songs on it why not ITZ? it's just convenience and luck on Justin's part that he got such kudos for 2 strong singles.

Heartily agree with that. The Cunterlake was singing an album penned for Michael Jackson after he became shit and only had any sucess because he had a good makeup artist (met him at the Brits backstage and he looked like a scrawny boy in need of a stylist) and had the oomph of the Britney breakup to boost his status. He leeched her success and used N*SYNC to steal some glory, only for us to find all the production in the world couldn't hold up to the hype.
Pity JC didn't try the same trick. We'd have heard some decent singles then... at least he bloody wrote his own material!
