And everyone who is associated with them. Solange, Tina Knowles and the rest of the Knowles family tree.
If you've ever watched any interview with them if they are asked a question about their clothes, their instant answer is 'All our clothes are designed by my mother Tina Knowles' and all 3 of them join in saying 'Tina Knowles' to reinforce the point.
All their solo efforts (except THAT song) have been dire. Kelly 'I wish I was a role model for loser kids' Rowlands have been almost proudly bad.

This has to be the most tenuous reason ever for a thread in the Clowns section. Which is really saying something. Is there a prize? I'll grant you that Solange is useless, not that she's famous enough on her own to really care about - but the group? HELL no. None of their singles (if we gloss over the Matthew Marsden fiasco) have been anything less than ace, their solo albums (while admittedly patchy) have shown evidence of promise, and they all have incredible voices - this is the group, remember, whose third singer played the lead in a Broadway musical. Hands up who can see Su-Elise Nash doing that? Counting the days till November 15....

I think their music is brilliant as a group. I have all three album and love all of 'Writings on the wall', some of 'Survivor' but I think 'No, no, no' and 'With me' are totally underrated.
It's just the whole big Knowles fame game thing. My family would be chuffed if their daughter was famous but not chuffed enough to use her to promote other family members careers.

I think the pushing of the Yonce in DC is quite ridiculous. This is what you call a group!? Everyone knows she's basically been releasing solo records since 1998, not 2003.
However, although it's clear who the star is, the non-Beyonce members were given a lot more to do on Survivor than they were on the first two records, and now Beyonce has a separate solo career, I reckon their next album will be a bit more fairly shared. Michelle and Kelly are both great singers even if their solo careers have been lacking. Even then, Michelle has some great songs, and Kelly was the victim of very bad single choices- not one of the best songs on her admittedly pretty crap solo CD were released.

They all will have a solo song on the new album, which should be interesting. Personally I'm not keen on Beyonce and Kelly's insistence on becoming very big off not very good but I forgive as Survivor was very good.

Destiny's Child kick arse!! Their music is amazing and they're just brilliant. Beyoncé is amazing too, although her album was a bit of a snore

Love them and their albums. Great stuff.
I really hope the new DC won't be influenced too much by Beyonce's solo album, though.

The Writing's On The Wall is a fantastic album.
Survivor, on the other hand, is not.

I'd say nearly all of their group stuff was grade A, their solo stuff less so.
I do have a bit of a problem with Beyonces supposedly amazing voice though. When she sings live its always over a backing track. She makes a half hearted attempt to sing the verses and then either mimes the chorus or doesnt even attempt to mime the chorus which always drove me mad when she performed crazy in love.

All past differences between me and Destinys Child have been settled with 'Lose my breathe'. Thank you girls.

I will agree up to a point. The new album is utterly dreary, the sound of Beyonce trying to kill the group so she can ascend, phoenix level, to the top of the pop ladder and she doesn't want to take those other two bints with her. Fulfilled really is crap. Terrible.
But not as bad as Funky Dory. I don't think any pop album can match that feat.

I don't hate Destiny's Child, but I don't love them either.
I hate Beyonce, but I like Kelly and Michelle.
I hated all their past singles, they overplayed them. But I love Lose My Breath.
Crap, I'm confused.

Lose My Breath is good. The only good song on that album.

I used to like them but Beyonce has become a bit over-exposed. However, above all of this she deserves a firm kick up the arse for wearing vile Mukluk boots...so do plenty of other people but I always thought better of Beyonce.

I saw them in concert a while ago and I thought they put on a decent enough show. Most of their singles have been brilliant but I've generally found their albums boring and fillery. Lose My Breath is wicked but as a group they do nothing for me. I've never quite worked out why everyone adores them so much. Personality wise, they don't really have that much going for them.
