I saw his latest clip today and I'm trying to figure out who he's selling records to. He's not particularly good looking, his songs aren't very good, he was a guest on Lame Academy and more importantly, he used to run a returns scam at Tower Records in Kensington and is therefore a prat. Although thumbs up for giving Alistair Griffin a job. But that's not making me go out and buy his single. So seriously -- who buys his records?

Daniel, in my opinion, is one of them artists who gets it so right and than in a swift moment of 'I'm a cunting artist and I know what's right for my career' fucks it all up.
The garage thing worked.
The ballad thing was even better. If You're Not The One IS one of the greatest songs of the last 10 years and had he stuck with amazing ballads like that he coulda hung on to that lucrative mums and grans market and got rid of Ronan for good.
But nooooooo.......
Now it's Crazy Danie Look How Much Of A Rocker I Am time I'm afaid.
Ah well, we'll live, I'm sure.

He blamed 'heart-ache' for the reason his latest record weren't so good.
I would have gone with the horrific car crash excuse.

He was, to be fair, ace on a stick in concert recently (apart from the dodgy religious bit in the middle)

My mum still loves him - I bought her tickets for his concert as a Mother's Day present and she actually cried when I told her. (With happiness/gratitude I might add.)
She hates Nat-arse-sha with a passion though.

HE'S BACK!!!!!
He was just on that ABBA programme trying to appear nonchalant about ABBA in that charming Planet of the Apes meets Cliff Richard manner of his.
"Mamma Mia? How does that one go?" *kisses teeth*

I liked most of his first album, but started to lose interest after the horrid video that was released with "If You're Not the One". They should have given it a story instead of making us watch Daniel's painful facial expressions and pleading on his knees. Since then, I could really care less about him.

Are Asians buying his records these days? I expect they are still under-represented! If You're Not The One was/is a classic that should have been included in the short-list for Best British single of the last 25 years at the Brits. For that song alone he deserves respect, but he is a bit of a loony and acted like a right twunt on Fame Academy (and elsewhere).

Having worked in a record store I can confirm it is a large proportion of the older generation and student girls depressed at having broken up with their boyfriend of the month.

I liked the Popworld interview with him. He behaved like a self-important pranny as usual, but Simon Amstell did a brilliant piss-taking rendition of the high-pitched bit in 'If You're Not the One'. I admit the man makes decent records, but I can't be doing with him as a person at all. That's probably why I wouldn't buy his stuff, and I don't know who else does, either.

His debut single was pretty good, but then his voice was distorted beyond recognition and the version released was a remix that was miles away from the much inferior original.
Since then, he has settled nicely into the mumpop category, but I feel interest in him has dwindled and material on the second album didn't live up to earlier expectations. Match that up with his excruciating interview technique and less-than-brilliant media profile (only Sir Cliff's allowed to be a God botherer), and you've got third album megaflop meltdown en route.

I never liked If You're Not The One- I was surprised that was such a big hit.
But my mum loves it, and it's a song that was played at my uncle's wedding. It's a song that seems to get played at a lot of weddings.

I still love If You're Not the One. As has been said it's one of the all time greats. His live performances are great too as long as he sticks to singing and you don't have to look directly at him.
I am one of the few who loved his second album as much as his first.

I never liked If You're Not The One- I was surprised that was such a big hit. God, so was I. I remember getting the video sent in and a few of us watched it and were absolutely gobsmacked at how fucking awful both song and video were. Those semi-topless shots- yeuch.

I never bought Gotta Get Thru This but I really like Second First Impression. All Your Attention and the singles are ace as are a few other tracks. Sorry is a cringe fest though! He's a prat, but a talented one.

I really don´t think he was ever on Fame Academy He didn't appear as a contestant, but he performed in the final, dueting with Alistair on If You're Not The One, and Alex Parks on Gotta Get Thru This, a performance which prompted Simon Amstell to ask Alex why she didn't tell Daniel that he was barking up the wrong lesbian.

I can't actually remember the video to "If You're Not the One", but I suspect this is a good thing. He was stood in just a dark studio, with his shirt open, and would write things on the camera...
