Apparently that song is so bad that the Nsyncers themselves can't think about it without wanting to die from embarrassment. Inept lyrics, cheap production, stupid haircuts, pointless ad-libs, and so on...
But the problem is.. I love it. It's probably one of my top 5 Nsync songs. I think it might be the most perfect cheesy pop song ever and it never fails to put a smile on my face when I listen to it. The melody is unescapable in his basicness, the riff is as catchy a synth line as you'll ever see.
Besides, let's be honest here. It surely is much better than some of the awful songs the band released as singles (God Must Have Spent... and Here We Go anyone?).
So am I to be alone in that defence or should the pop community rehabilitate I Need Love without delay?

Nsync were good in their time, ill admit it. Specially songs of the latter. And i agree completely with songs much worse eg. Here We Go.

what i like about *NSYNC is they learned their craft of making awesome pop music.
NSYNC : Nice squeaky clean euro pop
No Strings Attached : Power Pop at it's best
Celebrity : Slick Pop concept album which was a million miles from anything any boyband had done.

Oh it will be one day. I'm confident that ' Pop ' will win a recognition award at the Brits Awards' 50th Anniversery.

I cannot fucking stand that song nor Here We Go for that matter.
Oddly enough I am totally feeling It Makes Me Ill and Bye Bye Bye at the moment.
I don't know why.
I used to love Celebrity but at the moment I am enjoying No Strings Attached more.
I think that celebrity got too Justin oriented when clearly he did not have the best voice!

Is it me or is Giddy Up one of their worst songs EVER?!
One of the greatest in my book is Space Cowboy (Yippe-Yi-Yay), I mean still after I haven't listened to it for like 2 years I'm getting the feeling I should treat myself to this immense song!
But yeah, back to the topic at hand! I Need Love only sounds a bit dated as far so it sounds as thou it should have been released in the 90's like around the time when 2Unlimited released the smash hit No Limit as it has the famous 90's electric power drum sound!
But apart from that I think the lyrics are ok, it could do with a revamp and a dust off if they had to do it again!
And now I'm listening to them now, it's truely been too long!

I love I Need Love! It is neither a clown nor an idiot, and neither are *N Sync.

But they are a bunch of idiots for being so ashamed of what is essentially a nice slice of cheesy pop, aren't they? PS : I wish I could have stayed with a post count of 666 for ever.

Randomly, Giddy Up and Riddle were just as bad as I Need Love, in my opinion.
I love Digital Getdown <3333333
*NSYNC were great.
In fact I miss good boy bands, because fair enough Backstreet Boys have made a come back, but they're not as good as they were.

I totally agree with you, *NSYNC were better than BSB, but BSB have stood the test of time, so many we could see the return of *NSYNC in the near future?!
Lets hope that if they do return that they won't just rely so heavley on Justin's voice to lead the band. I want the other guys to be able to sing, not saying that Justin is better or that he made the band what they are, but I would like to see the band return and become as big as they were based on all of they're talents mixed together rather than just have Justin leading the band!
I think they should be proud to have sung that song, many people would have killed to have been in *NSYNC and have the success that they did and to sing the songs that they did!
