..is a super cunt.
this from the bbc
Magic Numbers had an unhappy first visit to 'Top of the Pops'.
They were rehearsing on Sunday when Richard Bacon introduced them by saying:
"What do you get when you put two brothers and two sisters in a band? A big fat melting pot".
The band took offence and decided they didn't want to perform. Richard Bacon says he's mortified as he loves the band and says it was just a turn of phrase and he tried to apologise but wasn't allowed near the band.
The Magic Numbers have posted a message on their website apologising to anyone disappointed by their non appearance saying after derogatory, unfunny remarks they felt they had to make a stand and leave.
all this added to the fact that he is a twat and is only famous for being a druggy fuck.

Never liked the man, and this new twattery only convinces me further.
Is it me, or does he sound like Alan Partridge?

He's a complete twat! I can't stand then man and why has he suddenly made some kind of presenting come back? All he was good for was an OB presenter getting the piss taking out of him on The Big Breakfast by Jonny and Denise. Those really were the good old days.

The main part they objected to was the word "fat."
Overreaction much?

Would it hurt to have a little eye candy presenting TOTP? I mean, not only is Richard Bacon an utter cunting loser, but he's unattractive too. Phill Jupitus is hardly Adonis either and Fearne = bleurgh. I have to say I did feel like taking Richard's side a bit on Sunday when Fearne kept slagging him for choosing that a-ha archive performance. It was so unnecessary.

I was in Richard's side too. He selected AHA and Kylie and Jason! Respect is required. Fearne on the other hand went right down in my estimation with her sarcastic rock hand jestures.

He's dire on This Morning with Denise Van Outen.
His eyes are too far back in his head and I do not like him.

I can see why you would identify so much with Richard Bacon. After his, yours is the second most astonishing display of ignorance I've seen this week. The Magic Numbers are a talented bunch, writing superb, melodic pop songs - just what the charts need. Furthermore, they've got where they are today despite narrow-minded attitudes such as Richard Bacon's (and yours). They're the ones who deserve praise, not some talentless, charisma-starved cokehead who can't even manage to come up with amusing put-downs.

The drummer in particular seems quite slim to me. Richard Bacon is a piss poor presenter who thinks he's a hell of a lot funnier/cleverer than he actually is. His smug face makes me want to punch him.

I rather like Richard Bacon. I like that he's dating Konnie Huq, too, because I think she's rather wonderful. Dreamysigh. Or something.

I like that he's dating Konnie Huq, too, because I think she's rather wonderful. Really? I'm surprised at her...then again, I wouldn't have expected her to do celebrity fame academy either. I'm pretty sure if Richard Bacon had carried on at Blue Peter and not been found out then he'd no longer be on TV now. Which makes him a lucky, druggy fuck.

He was probably snorting coke at the time he was doing Top Of The Pops.
The Magic Numbers ARE fat and now people are going to take the piss because they know it upsets them.

He is a big old mangy twat, but I don't think he was actually deliberately insulting them. It was an unfortunate choice of words, as two of the band are larger than the average pop star (not that it makes a jot of difference to the quality of their music), but I think it was a misunderstanding that got blown out of proportion. It is, however, a shame that the incident didn't lead to Richard Bacon being sacked.

Also, I think it's a bit dangerous, to you, and also Dr Bastard, to speak as you have been about his drug use. All we know is that he took it years ago when he was doing Blue Peter. Surely it is libellous to intimate that he takes it presently, and frequently?

You're the first one to mention present or frequent drug use...plus I was only quoting from the first post in this thread.

Is it libellous to call Bacon a talentless, gutless, unfunny, whiney c*nt who had a charisma bypass in his mother's womb? Still better than Kielty though.

And Paninaro - of course not. That's your opinion about his personality, or whatever. Drug use is a whole different kettle of fish, is it not?
