LAZY INDIE ALERT!
From the NME:
“Sadly we can't offer any money for images used, though you will have the glory of featuring on the DVD.”
Nice. Perhaps if they were not rushing out a DVD after a single album's worth of videos to cash in on their slippery slope, they would have more footage to fill a DVD and not have to depend on crappy jpegs taken from phones to fill it out.
Also, they don't dance, let alone have any synchronized steps.
I wonder what Interpol will put on their DVD?

Oh dear.
I would see that as a good idea but judging by the mental ages of most of the FF.org messageboard - oh no.
*please make that section as errr, genius as Feeder's "Just a Day" video*

Speaking of lazy, what about the title of their next album... "Franz Ferdinand". Turns out every album they'll ever make will be called "Franz Ferdinand", and you can tell them apart by different colour schemes. They might as well number them like Led Zeppelin did.

Who are The Plimptons?
The new album does sound rather lazy - keeping the same title and basically the same artwork just with the colours changed. It's not clever.

They're repeating a winning formula then? In that case, can someone find out the titles of both good songs to save me wasting money on the whole album? Cheers.

I think I remember some synchronized steps. Something like walking forward in a synchronized way. Don't they have that in Matinee? Is it just the little pencil kids?

I see they can't be bothered to come up with an album title.
How very modern. AND LAZY.

They've changed their minds - the new album's called You Could Have It So Much Better...With Franz Ferdinand. Of course they had to get the band name in there somehow...

Well I guess that's an improvement.
It's a bit like Sufjan Stevens' latest. It's called "Illinois" in short. But on the cover it has the long title... "Sufjan Stevens invites you to: Come on Feel the Illinoise", which is rather cool.

I still don't like their album title, although their new song isn't bad

Their new song is quite good but I will cry if I see the video one more time. I heard it for the first time today and have seen the video about 10 times, and I'm not joking.

Is it me or does the new single sound like Status Quo covering 'Let's Stick Together'?

i really like the new song, sounds more like The Sweet covering "Don't Bring Me Down" (can't remember who did that though)

Their new song is so danceable and has some lovely synths backing the track, it's like they've been working with Gary Numan

Loving the new song right now, and they were great at V. Can't wait for the new album, whatever they decide on calling it.

The album has leaked, ever so slightly.
I'm not sure on this one yet. It's not exactly a quantum leap from the first one, but it seems a bit more considered, with generally stronger songs.
Well That Was Easy is class.

I personally think the new album is a major, major leap from the first one. 'The Fallen' is incredible, and is musically light years ahead of anything on the old album. Each track seems very very strong, unlike the first album which had it's weak moments.
I shall be purchasing as soon as it's out, ohyes.

I've just listened to the first album all the way through again for the first time in a few months, and I'm dismayed by how few of the songs on it actually grab me now. Some of them really do smell of "will this do?" - in fact, most of the ones that weren't released as singles. I will buy the new album, but I hope they've spent the last year working on their album-track-writing skills.
