They're not very Camden but you will find them in dingy clubs playing their euphoric pop songs, doing their close harmonies and dance routines
They are your new favourite band. They should rule the earth

I was at that show. Got there early as well then had to endure a load of noisy rubbish by ugly men till Client came and made it all better. So I think The Pipettes are rubbish.

Am I being really dumb or is there no start time on that site? Bloody Pipettes just don't want me to see them.

This is appalling. I've got 1meg isdn and it's coming through like a 1996 dialup connection. And this site reckons they can start charging people to watch in the future? Or is it still part of the not-let-Tim-see-The-Pipettes conspiracy?

Saw the Pipettes on Friday night, and had to resurrect this thread. They are amazing. Sweeter harmonies you will not find. And the dancing! Great. Never left a gig with such a big grin on my face before.

Everyone accepted this lot as your pop saviours yet? Anyone? No-one? What's going on with this place? First proper single 'Dirty Mind' is out on November 14th on Memphis It's full of close harmonies and singalong stuff and it's BRILLIANT You can and should listen to it hereDodgy, Micheal Bay shakycam video here in Quicktime format So very much better than the fucking Arctic Fucking Monkeys

They look utterly fantastic and should launch a fashion line a la J Lo, but tasteful like. They sound a little like a less punk and more girlie Headcoatees. Musically it sounds a bit thin, but that could be the crappy sound on my laptop. Double thumbs aloft for the concept alone though.

I like the Pipettes, they're like a time capsule of sugar sweet pop.
Why is Dirty Mind their first proper single? What about ABC/Judy/A Boy In Uniform?
Unless you mean because they're ridiculously short - I never listen to the 7" of A Boy In Uniform much because by the time you've put it on it's finished. As much as I like it it is a bit like the musical version of concorde.

Always leave them wanting more, innit
And it terms of length, Dirty Mind is a prog masterpiece in comparision with Hurts To See You Dance So Well. The Brakes make tiny songs too, and they're great fun

The Pipettes collaboration with the Brakes is just beautiful, I like the way they switched the vocals around from the Jesus & Mary Chain original.
I still think School Uniform is their best song, but I'm not sure if they're playing it much since Julia quit.

Bring on 100 club gig in a couple of weeks - back to the same place I first saw them.
