They're using this song in the advert to Apple's IPod Shuffle and I must day it's hot. I like it a lot. What about you guys?

Yep, great stuff. Reminds me a lot of 60s garage rock, a good thing in my book. I have the album actually, it's been out for about a year...

I've loved the song since it was used in 'Teachers' ages ago. Good to see it finally getting some recognition.

Aha, I was wondering why this had randomly appeared on Radio 1's C List. Shows how little TV I've watched recently...
Heard it on the Download Chart the other day and was compelled to go and download it myself.
It reminds me of a more poppy "The Hives" (similar to what you're getting at with the 60s garage rock thing, i guess). Are they from a similar part of the world?

Yes, they are from Sweden, I believe.

This is very good but I like their current Swedish single We Got To Leave even more.

Leasing your songs to be used in commercials and on tv programmes is such a great way to get your music out there, especially for bands like The Caesars who get next to no radio airplay. And it's a bonus when it's tied to such a 'cool' and popular brand like the iPod.
I heard 'Jerk It Out' over a year ago and was hoping for great things for the band, hopefully it will happen now, oh, and 'We Got To Leave' is ace.

True, like Steriogram's "Walkie Talkie Man" I guess which picked up a lot of play on the back of that ad, although the follow up doesn't seem to have done so well. Just a quick question... Over at www.7digital.com (where I downloaded the track) they're listed as "Caesar's Palace" (as they are on amazon) but elsewhere (as in this thread) they're referred to as "The Caesars". Did they just change their name so they could fit in with all the trendy "The" bands?

If there was any justice in the world, that song should not have needed to have an ad-related resurgence. Bridgey xxx

I think they only use the name 'Caesar's Palace' in Sweden.

I think they only use the name 'Caesar's Palace' in Sweden. They're the Caesars there now too. I downloaded a Caesar's Palace track and it was one off their current album so the name change must be fairly recent. Jessica

Steriogram were awful.
The Caesars just sound like the Hives would if they were given an Inspiral Carpets record for their christmas.
I'd rather just hear Saturn 5.

I don't hear the Hives thing, but by golly it sounds like Saturn 5 performed by 14 year olds at the school recital. The vocals are terrible, as well. Are Apple struggling for artists to advertise their products?

I rather love this song. It's so fun and summery, in a glossy sugar kind of way.

You say you like it now, but I have a sneaky suspicion that in about 6 months you'll hate it, having seen it for what it actually is: the new 'Dancing In The Moonlight.'
