Now, whilst I can appreciate that some people may find Art Brut too wannabe-Pulp-tossy-student-band-etc-esque, does anyone else think that they're REALLY RATHER FRIGGING GOOD? "Formed A Band" was fabulous (although I can vaguely understand why some - WRONG - people found it annoying). Then "Modern Art" followed. It was truly wonderful (as was the double A-side track "My Little Brother). And now we've got "Emily Kane"! See the cheap, yet amusing, video at: www.xfm.co.uk/Article.asp?id=79683If there's ever been a more affecting song which deals with unrequited love from ten years ago, I've probably forgotten about it. So, enough of my rambling unstructured post. What does anyone else think? Anyone? Kisses. Seedy (P.S. Just read back what I've typededed. I wish to make it clear that I am not affiliated with Art Brut in any way, shape or form, apart from the fact I own the singles and love them to pieces. Toodles)

I love almost eveything I've heard from them so far. Do you know if there is an album planned?

To quote from the website (http://www.artbrut.org.uk)...
"Right as you may or may not know...
'Emily Kane' is out on the 2nd May, so get out there, spread the word, hassle DJ's, hassle your parents, hassle your work colleagues... Get it top 40!!
And, our debut album, 'Bang, Bang, Rock & Roll' is out on the 23rd May, again... Well, see above"
And for those who have been affected by "brewers droop", you simply must root out the track "Rusted Guns Of Milan" - Art Brut at their finest.
Kisses.

I think that I only heard it once, but I did find Formed A Band incredibly annoying, and I didn't hear Modern Art at all. Emily Kane is rather jaw-droppingly fantastic though.

Formed A Band is probably one of the best debut singles ever, just for going LOOK AT US!!!!!!! WE FORMED A BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Modern Art is equally ace.
Emily Kane isn't half bad either. Just a shame they've re-recorded the above tracks for the album and they don't sound as good.
Great live though, just having someone shout and point at you for 40 minutes before trying to climb the walls is always entertaining. And their drummer stands up too.

Hello! Sorry I'm late. But yes, you're right, they're ace. I'm pro any kind of music that's fronted by someone who can't really sing but has still got respect and a record deal. It is what keeps most of us dreaming.

The only thing I really love about Art Brut is their name. ART BRUT. ART. BRUT. Emily Kane is also OK.
