Im just not lovin it. At all.
There's the occasional flash of something good, but then it quickly dissapears. Traditional end ballad..this time called "let There Be Love" sounds just how you imagine it to sound and is in fact quite good in a 60s LSD way.
But overall the album is boring and you know you're in trouble when Lyla stands out from the rest of the tracks.
Retire now or move the music on!

It is surprisingly midtempo. The loouder stuff is really repetitive. I do like a few things, like the "Queue" song, but I won't be buying this record. They are all talk - I think success really killed them - too much cash and blow and stupid girlfriends (and they pick STUPID girlfriends).
For awhile they were a singles band and now they are not even that. "Lyla" should go to the crapper.

I'm three tracks in. The first track is stodgy with some of the worst lyrics ever written - even by their standards.
Mucky Finger is just I'm Waiting For The Man by Velvet Underground.
Lyla is shit, but seems to be stuck in my head...nasty.

One of the tracks- which one? - is a shocking rip of "Jumpin Jack Flash" - I mean, why aren't there lawsuits?
I DO like the "Importance of Being Idle" track.
Did you see the Q review? Way too good for this record!

Importance of Being Idle's not bad eh? Course it's basically just the Coral with bits of Good Vibrations chucked in.
I think my favourite could be "I Can See It Now" as it seems to have a real Andy Bell influence and, to be honest, Oasis are better off doing instrumentals.
I've now listened to this album twice. Last time I listened to an Oasis album more than once was Morning Glory.

I only managed to make it up to track 5 before I had to admit defeat and switch it off.

I quite liked the album, sure it's not a classic, but 'Layla' and a couple of other tracks apart I don't think it's that bad.

I think it is a pretty good album. Best tracks: Let there be love, Lyla, Meaning of soul, The importance of being idle, Turn up the sun.
