Has there been a thread about this album anywhere on here? I can't find one. Anyway, I love this album. It's such a strange record... the title song sounds like the song Otis Redding never recorded. It's all Stax soul but with the Berlin/Mocky/Gonzales influence coming through. 'Newme' sounds like Fela Kuti produced by John Barry or something...

I was told about this guy a while ago, did some research and found out he was dead, but I guess if you're going to see him live he must not be dead at all. The strange thing is the other (dead) Jamie Lidell was also a musician who seemed very similar to what I have heard about this one. It's kind of spooky!

Actually, there must be some link because the dead Jamie's album is on the discography page of the living Jamie's site. Is he a ghost?

That's odd. It's the same Jamie Lidell, and he's definitely alive.
Maybe he faked his own death in attempt to 'shift units', and then got bored of pretending to be dead. I'm not sure.

Maybe he's a clone.
It's the only sensible explanation.

Either way, the great CD is now available on Amazon and is in HMV for £9.99.
