They are utterly ace. You can not fault their energy.
They pulled out of Reading and Leeds, which annoyed me because I'd have love to have seen them. Apparantly, Brian (I think that's his name?) the drummer needed a bit of a break and wanted to think about working on the new record.
Amanda did play the few Scottish dates they had scheduled solo and by reading the account on her blog they were absoloutley amazing. Pity she didn't do Reading and Leeds - even if it was lower down the bill.
Hopefully I'll be able to catch them touring the new album sometime next year. I think it's slated for a spring release.
The Dresden Dolls, Adam Green and Echo & The Bunnymen seemed the most amazing end to the weekend, it's a shame we only got those last two.

They are 10 times as good live as they are on record.
I saw them at Glastonbury and they blew me away - especially on 'Coin Operated Boy' which now seems relatively flat on record in comparison. I so hope Brian resolves his issues so that they tour again next year.

Perhaps they should form a supergroup with the Goo Goo Dolls and the 60ft Dolls.

You know I was just coming on here to start a thread on the Dresden Dolls, as it was only yesterday I was exposed to who they even were.
Within the space of 24 hours, I have become intensely in love with their albums "The Dresden Dolls" and "A is for Accident", just bought them today actually. They've been fighting with Princess Superstars new one as to who's been getting played on the stereo.
"Slide" and "Missed Me" are so geniusly written, structured perfectly - and the vocals, haunting in the most endearing way.
Was quite charmed by them I guess!

I can never get into them for some reason, but they're everything that I should like. I did love their tribute to Avril Lavigne though where they filmed a video miming to 'Together'.
