Verdict? It's growing on me. A very chilled album, probably their slowest and most laid back. I can see why there's been a few complaints, but they've never been a band that just repeats itself. Saw them live in Norwich last night and there was a little too much of the new material. But they played Ice Hockey Hair so I was happy.

I liked their earlier stuff, but with every new album I find them more and more difficult to get into. Would you recommend Love Kraft on that basis, or would it be a waste of my time?

Very with you, ninefootjoe - off to see 'em tomorrow night and got the newie the other day accordingly. Always seem to miss them, despite having been buying them on & off since the first album. Should be a good'un. moggieb0y.blogspot.com

Lucky stiffs...can't remember the last time they played Aberdeen, actually I do. It was in 2001 (not due another visit guys?) Love Kraft has appealed to me on the same level as Phantom Power did...above average (well, it's the furries) but not going to have me going back for repeated listenings.
Not like Rings Around the World, now that was fantastic ranking up there with Radiator.

It's a very 'mature' outing for them. A subtle departure away from their occasional gimmicky-ness, which was frankly starting to become mildly irritating.
For the first time on an SFA album, there are no obvious singles. I'm wondering what they could possibly release next.

If you didn't like the slower moments on the last two albums (ie Bleed Forever, Presidential Suite, Cityscape Skybaby) then chances are you won't like LK all that much. But I'd still say it's worth a listen. But then again, I would. As for the next single....well Lazer Beam got their worst charting for a first album release in a long time, so I reckon nothing would be best. But they will, so probably Atomik Lust or Frequency.

I wish anything on the album new were as good as those tracks. Instead of their customary lushness SFA went for limp 70's country-rock pastiche on Love Kraft. I suppose they had to slip up sometime after the last three albums, each thoroughly complete and stunning in its own way.
If there must be another single , it should be Frequency.

Balls to Love Kraft. It's all about the Acid Casuals (a SFA side project)
Hunt down 'Bowl Me Over', the new single. It's what Love Kraft should have sounded like
