My Chemical Romance are set to release I'm Not Okay (I Promise) for a THIRD time in the UK.
Good lord!
Zane Lowe says... 'the first time round it was a cult single, the second time it was just an album track and this time round it's going to be a HUGE hit........released on the 7th of November to co-incide with their UK tour'
Too much... Too much!
This year has seen the Kaisers and many other re release single that didn't do too well in the first place.
Is it just a cop out? No new material in over a year. Or are they all hungry, fame chasing w-hores?

The third time? That seems a bit much. Although I do absolutely love that song, one of my fave MCR tracks. Doubt I'll buy it though.

There was a MCR track that missed the Top 40, they'd have been better off re-releasing that. I'm Not OK was a Top 20 hit, wasn't it?

They're definitely trying to cash in on the current success of bands such as The Killers etc. The problem is anybody who liked the song bought it when it came out the first/second time. It'll do even worse this time since anybody who cared already owns it.
Although not to be too critical of them - it's a fantastic song with one of the funniest videos I've seen for a long time.

It is one of the best songs off Three Cheers and a brilliant song in its own right. It definitely deserves top 5. Also in November out comes their new live album 'Life On The Murder Scene' but I forget what date, does anyone know?

I have just lost any respect for Zane Lowe I once held.
MCR bite beyond belief.
Mind you, I am IndieElitistBastardScum, so perhaps I should shut up and take my views where they belong.
hmmm.....

According to midweeks it's only set to go in at about 30. Which is lower than it originally got (19).
I like MCR personally, but they deserve what they got here. I don't much mind artists reissuing songs (some songs only get to something like 126 the first time they are released) it gets a bit ridiculous when it has already gone top 20.
Why they are reissuing it when it's not even a year old I don't know, especially as their last two singles reached lower (20 and 27). I also think I'm Not OK (I Promise) is one of their worst songs anyway.

My friend went to a MCR gig last night in Manchester, but she is of course, 'an emo kid'.

Helena is their only good song, seriously.
In my experience their fans tend to be absolute twats, too (not as much as H.I.M. obsessives, though the distinction is admittedly marginal).

Both of those bands (MCR and H.I.M) are favourites of one of my best friends but thankfully I seem o have found one of the good ones. MCR should stop re-releasing that song though.

The re-release of I'm Not Okay (I Promise) led me to buy the album, not the single and I love it. So if I am any indication of the record buying public then it was a good idea of theirs to re-release it one last time.

The Helena video is a masterpiece! A dance routine for a courpse sounds like hell but works amazingly

I felt 'I'm Not Okay' was ridiculously overplayed the first time it was re-released. I'm sick of it. The video (along with their other videos too, obviously) is awesome though, so I guess I'll tolerate it.
I'm a bit sick of the whole album to be honest. I'm really into 'I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love' at the moment.
