If you enjoyed Coloma's blogosphere-acclaimed track "Transparent" a few years ago, you will like this new album from the Cologne-based duo. Interestingly there are different labels for the download and the physical album; Napster and iTunes have the downloads. At last they've done what I've hoped for, which is to move into Blue Nile "Rooftops"/"Hats" territory with poppier, less micro-house production. There's still electronic grit here and there, especially on the ambitiously orchestrated "Motorway Stray." The song "Happiness Is Deafening" would make a great single. It recalls David Sylvian's "Let The Happiness In" -- and then the metal guitar stabs and Motown drums appear about a minute in! I absolutely love Rob Taylor's vocals and wish I could figure out who his voice reminds me of.
