So one of the best songs ever (ever) is being re-released in January. Now usually I'm dead against this sort of thing, but this song.....
Anyway, I heard that the reissued album had to have its samples cleared, and one of the ones to go was the bloody lovely "yeah yeahyeah yeaaaah yeah" bit from Ladyflash...is this true? Criminal.
Anyway if this band (along with the Pipettes) haven't conquered the known universe by next summer then me and Phil Jupitus won't be very happy.

I heard about it being re-released. Ladyflash on the new version of Thunder, Lightning, Strike still thankfully has the "Yeah, yeah, yeaaah yeah" bits. It's not that much different really.
Can't wait to see them live again in February!

The redone version of Bottle Rocket on the other hand was ear rapingly bad.

It was alright, but the session version of Huddle Formation on the b-side just blows it away.

I bloody love The Go! Team. So brilliant!
And is anybody else reminded of The Go! Team by Girls Aloud's Biology?

The new version is on the CD that comes with this week's NME. The Yeahs are still there, and it all sounds a bit more polished. Has the whole album been remixed? Is it an improvement?
Apparently Kevin Shields and mixed together Ladyflash and Huddle Formation for the b-side, can't wait for that one!
