Personally, I like them. Unfortunately the lead singer's going out with that wicked troll Edith 'Queen bland of blandland' Bowman. Which puts me off their songs a lot.

I love them, but have to agree with you on the Bowman front. They were excellent supporting Franz and hopefully will be again when I see them in march.

Editors are good fun, but there's no point buying their album if you already own an interpol album.
Munich's a terrific single though.

Or kill two birds with one stone and buy an Echo And The Bunnymen album instead. A very good point. It would involve enriching mouthy Scouse get Ian McCulloch though. I've never forgiven him for that dreadful World Cup song Top Of The World. Remember it? Thought not. The only thing that stays with me is Mel C's ever-intrusive backing vocals.

I refuse to accept that that was actually the Ian McCulloch, and not some talentless lookalike. How can someone capable of writing 'The Back Of Love', 'The Cutter', 'The Killing Moon', 'Ocean Rain', etc have had any involvement in that. Getting this thread back on track though, I actually really like the Editors album, and 'Munich' is an absolutely fantastic single.

The Women at work spent some time yesterday discussing this new band, Munich, who were at number ten. Later on, they discussed this band, Dirge, and their song, Death in Vegas, that was on the Cold Feet soundtrack. I do plan to enlighten them at some point.
I do like Editors, and the album is enjoyable, but the songs all sort of turn into one another in my mind.

I think Editors are infinitely more enjoyable than Interpol, but maybe that's because I've been listening to The Back Room for the best part of a year. Managed to see them live quite a few times, they've got the whole intense performance thing going on. It's just a pity they did a lazy reissue of Munich. Lights or Someone Says would have been better, but if they wanted to do something like a radical departure I always saw Camera as making a good single, but maybe that's just me.
At least he's not going out with Jo Whiley.

Or kill two birds with one stone and buy an Echo And The Bunnymen album instead. As long as you buy a Joy Division album while your at it.

Ian Curtis never shagged Noel Edmonds to the best of my knowledge.

Editors are my most favourite band at the moment and I'm so so pleased to see how successful they're getting to be! I had the pleasure of meeting them down at the Glasgow Barfly gig in December and they're a delightful bunch of lads, even had a drink with them. Can't wait to see them again in March! 'The Back Room' is an excellent album, was the best of 2005 for me. xxx
