Looking at YouTube.com it seems Silvia sang different lyrics for the UK compared to rest of Europe. I have no idea how they did this, but on the video introduced by Paddy O'Connell she clearly sings, "I'll prob'bly win" while the other posted videos have her saying, "I'll frickin' win". See for yourselves: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwGkmNWR8-4and the BBC: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRaKkq3lol8And is it wrong that I can't stop repeating the legend, "I'm not an ugly fucking old bitch from Sweden?"

I'd just like to hear what she has to say about Lordi. But you're right, these are different. I can even hear and edit in the BBC version. I guess she must have recorded it before hand for them.

Well she did say that they were ugly and didn't even have a proper make-up artist...

She sang "I'll frickin' win" in Ireland too, if anyone cares...

Scandal.
I thought changing ANY of the live feeds (sound or picture) was against the rules??
Didn't Israel wanna show adverts while Lebanon song or another way round one year?

Presumably it was agreed with the EBU, and it was definitely her singing, so she must have agreed. The problem with Israel's plans for the Lebanon was that every country has to show every song, politics be damned.

That is very, very strange. Why do you think they changed it?
My favourite bit is still, "I love you my European children!"

I guess the BBC argued that using "freakin" is so close to the original "fucking" that they take the view that it brings the contest into disrepute and so breaches the rules. The EBU made her change the original on those grounds, so it would be a bit rich for them to take against the BBC for taking that line. I suppose the BBC didn't want to take the risk of her singing "fucking" despite any agreement the Icelandic delegation made about moderating the language. They were, after all, scared shitless by Tatu and I think they had a plan in place to cut to video if Tatu went off on one. (Actually, I think that was the EBU plan, not the BBC).

Yep, but why?? It's 10pm on BBC3,
not Live8 at 5pm (snoop Dog) on BBC1.

And prerecording herself using non-foul language doesn't seem very in character does it?
