I'm going to see Mylene Farmer at Bercy on the 18th of January and i'll have a free night (a Tuesday) in Paris beforehand. Can anyone suggest something interesting to do? Are there any good midweek clubs, for example?
I wasn''t hugely impressed with the record shops the last time i was over there - can you point me in the direction of some good ones to try (and by "good" i mean cheap / second hand)?
Many thanks!

The best place I've always found for cheap CDs / vinyl, is the Marche des St. Ouens (I'm sure that's not the correct spelling), which is basically next to the Porte De Clignacourt Metro station - just follow the crowds.
If, however, you feel like looking at the really high end of the market, Mylene wise, try Ecoute Ce Disque (and their sister Anglophone shop Lucky Records) both situated a few streets apart, behind the Pompidou Centre. Ecoute Ce Disqe is tiny, but has virtually every promo, rare release and desireable Mylene Farmer release permanantly in stock. Last time I was in there, I very nearly bought the withdrawn 'Desenchantee' CD for £500, luckily I thought better of it.
Enjoy the concert though - I'll have to make do with the inevitable live DVD. Buggering crap job!

For the pop fan, Lucky REcords is indeed unmissable. There are quite a few other second-hand record stores worth visiting. Jussieu Musique is quite good, as are Gibert Musique or O'CD. I have a spare ticket for the 18th. I'd rather give it to a fan than sell it so, if anyone's interested, send me a PM.
I'd give it to you in person on the day of the concert in Paris to foil crafty e-bayers.

ShariVari, how was le gig? A Awesome. I've posted about it on the main forum. I didn't make it to the Marche des St. Ouens but did pop into Lucky Records. It's really quite amazing. More than half of the shop is devoted simply to Mylene and Madonna. Sadly i didn't have a spare three-hundred Euros for one of the singles but, like in a visit to the Louvre, it was really quite nice to see them.

Oh, and i should have said, you still simply can't beat FNAC.
I got albums by Nancy Ajram, Rachid Taha, Souad Massi, Camille, Julie Delpy, Benjamin Biolay, Noir Desir, Indochine, Clarika, Zazie and Olivier Libaux for less than a hundred Euros.

ooohhh!
I just saw this...and i was frantically trying to get a ticket just before the concerts started. as usual i left it too long to get a ticket and then tried everywhere, only on ebay it got hugely expensive, apart from the fact that it is really annoying, buying a ticket from people who are making money in such an evil way! anyway, read your post about the concert , sounded absolutely amazing, so I'm even more annoyed that i didn't go in the end!
