I'm due to go and see the fantastic MF next week in Paris, has anybody else seen the tour or heard anything about it. Would love to hear as all the reviews I can find are in French.

Wed 25th, I see your going on the 18th. From what I can make out it sounds like the show is great, even the usually quite tough moderators on www.mf-international .com are saying its good, so it must be bloody fantastic. Good to hear from another mf fan, AQLO one of the albums of the year methinks!

Yes avoid knowing anything. I saw the opening night of Madonna's Drowned World tour in Barcelona and it was shock after shock not knowing what to expect. Breathless throughout it all. For the ReInvention Tour I saw her in Paris mid-tour and while it was soooo hard to avoid all the Madonna sites, info was everywhere even crap Greek press-it was worthwhile. Especially the tracklisting HAS to not be known in my opinion. Hearing Burning Up begin....ohhh,Bliss!

I would absolutely kill to see this 'tour', but my shitty job means that that's quite impossible. From what I've read of the reviews so far, the general consensus seems to be that's it's quite a spectacle, but what did people really expect?
By the time she tours again (if she does ever tour again - there's a rumour that this is a farewell), I'll be living in France and I'm going to see the whole fucking tour. So there.

Well, if you can find a link to a French review, I'd be happy to attempt translating it for you, I'm a French degree student.

Also, didn't Myléne write for Alizée?

Oh. My. Mylène.
I saw her on Friday (standings, we queued for 14 hours and got second row!) and then on Sunday again (seats, cat 1 as close to the fosse you could get!) and it was seriously the best experience of my life. And I cried my eyes out at both shows. It was just that beautiful.
I used to think that people who got tickets for every single show were a bit freaky, but now I curse myself for only buying tickets for two nights. It was beyond fantastic and not even Mylenium Tour comes close. And boy, does being back at work in Sweden suck now.
I envy those of you who still have it to look forward to.

I can't decide how early I should get there -I want to be able to see clearly (obviously) but I'm not dedicated enough to wait for 14 hours. Hopefully if I'm three hours early that will be enough to get an ok position.

I don't want to reveal too much, but if you are not too short and have tickets for standing, then you are sure to have a good view at least at some point of the evening. You can tell that a lot of thought has been put into making everyone feel a part of the experience.
My advise to you would be to try and get to the far side of where you enter and aim for the area close to the seats where you can move rather freely. That way you will be able to keep up with everything that goes on at different times.
As opposed to during the Mylenium Tour, this time there is actually space for the people standing to breathe in most places and even move in others!

Oh, and just to warn you. After the show you might end up wanting to kick yourself for not being dedicated enough to queue for longer. The day before the show, I honestly thought that the people sleeping outside in tents were crazy. Only now I would totally do it as well if I had tickets for another show.
