I was probably asleep when it was discussed here but I had no idea Will Young was playing in that movie and my neighbours were probably wondering why I let go a repressed laugh when his name appeared on screen. It's quite obvious Stephen Frears only gave him very short scenes, which for such a central character, is a bit odd. I think Mr Young might not be very at ease with acting yet. Still, as this is the Q&A board, my question is : does Will Young sing on the soundtrack? There's no indication in one sense or the other on the Amazon pages. www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000CC3SDC/www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000BYCAL2

More importantly, does he get naked? I never got around to seeing it, but I know the plot, more or less.

Yes,but you have to be quick to freeze frame the nakedness, and it's a bit of a side on view.... ahem...or so I'm told.

Yes, he appears on several songs on the soundtrack. I liked the one about "the girl in the little green hat".

Of course he sings on the soundtrack. It is all on the insert in the CD case. And yes, he does get naked as do several other men including Bob Hoskins. Will, however, is viewed from the side so you don't really see anything of import!
Will sings All the Things You Are - beautifully. Very 1930s - I doubt many of you would like it.
Actually I read that Will's scenes were expanded because they thought he did well. Bob Hoskins says he is very talented and can do anything he likes. Judi Dench said he was "Ace" and "Full marks on the willy scene!"
Regarding Amazon, if you search for "Will Young", the soundtrack comes up in the list.

God if that's his scenes expanded, did he have any dialogue originally?
I thought he'd have a decent part but he was hardly featured apart from his song bits which were mostly cut off quite quickly.. I was disappointed because the media had gone on about how great he was.

The part of Bertie was originally a cameo role without hardly any dialogue. Most of the lines he did have were added later I am sure. However, he made very good use of his facial expressions even if he didn't have many lines.
Can you think of any other present day popsinger who could have off carried the role, because I cannot.
