I've heard this remix of Funky Town quite a bit now and would really like to know what it's called and where I might be able to get hold of it.
Thanks

Not been to Popjustice but the most recent version/sampling of it that I know if is by Full Intention on their Anniversary EP, it's called "The guitar". Samples strings and guitar but no vocals.

Wasn't it Soulwax's NY Lipps?

It's certainly got no vocals to it. It's just the riff. This means it's more then likely the one by full intention. Then again the popjustice.com administrator should know what they're talking about so maybe it's the Soulwax version.
I shall investigate and come back.

I think I was upstairs at that point, to be honest, but just heard a bit blaring through a door.

It was indeed the Soulwax verson so thank you, thank you, thank you.
Popjustice is a great night. You've just got to stop playing those horrendous housey cover versions of eighties hits that clog up daytime radio. 'Out of Touch' , 'Sombody's Watching Me' , 'Valerie'. They suck. Play the originals.
