There's a two page article about Brian Higgins and Xenomania in today's Sunday Times Style section, mostly talking about the studio in their house in Kent. A certain Mr Peter Robinson provided a quote or two for the piece, and Brian calls Nadine GA "one of the finest singers this country has produced". He also looks completely different to how I imagined him. But this link doesn't include his pic... www.timesonline.co.uk/newspaper/0,,14109-1165786,00.html

That article was really interesting. It sounds like lots of fun at the Xenomania cottage! What does Brian look like? I haven't seen the paper.

Long-ish hair, and loads of stubble. I might scan the pic tomorrow.

If you get invited to record there, you're taking me with you! I want to have breakfast with Girls Aloud. Perhaps not soup though, especially if Nicola is making it.

He is not bad looking actually! I was expecting someone older, sort of businessman-like. I don't know why, songwriters don't have to wear suits or anything. I think it's the name Brian Higgins conjures up that image. It's a very 40-something in a suit sort of name.

No excitement whatsoever about Saint Etienne visiting the house this summer then? Hmph! The news resulted in my biggest Xenomania related squee since I found a compilation featuring Xenomania's remix of Stay in the Sun by Kenickie (perhaps the closest we'll get to the 'Nick reforming to cover No Good Advice) for £3 in Nottingham the other week. Mmm, Sarah Cracknell. Mmm.

Well I am but it's just like Girls Aloud and Sugababes, they're Xenomania veterans. True, but this is the first bit of information of Saint Etienne's new record. You never know which direction they're going to go in with a new record, they might be off to Berlin to work with some avantgarde plinkplonkers again. I prefer them pop, so this is most excellent news.

Well it was definately somewhere because that was the discussion that finally persuaded to buy Finisterre.

I wonder if the Eve mentioned is the one who sang on Abs' single? I think it had 7 in the title, it was quite good for him. Maybe Xenomania did it?

Here's Xenomania's full discography: www.geocities.com/xenomaniasite/I can't believe Brian has worked with Natacha Atlas. How obscure. EDIT: Apparently Niara Mania co-wrote 'Do me Wrong' by Melanie Blatt. Who would've thought?

Only a remix -not writing or production. Thanks, I didn't see how that fitted in with the philosophy of only working with people who can contribute and live and breathe their music.
