I like it. I really want it to be big. But I want their next single to have a proper singalong chorus with some proper Betty-esque rapping. I guess she had to move on, but I miss the Betty of Where Are You Baby... Actually, it has more in common with the sound of Grrr! Than it does Boomania. Listen to Skin Tight and then Wigwam and hear what I mean. I don't think this will do well but God, I think it's great.

I feel people should know how difficult it is for WigWam to be found on Amazon UK. Everytime I attempt to type in their name, that stupid glam band appears instead and I certainly don't want to hear those tossers.
Putting the single back to April 3 isn't quite as bad as it seems. It means we get more time to convince the world to buy this pop masterpiece.

Has the track been serviced to radio yet? Can see it being a huge airplay hit.
But then again, I could see Alexis Strum's IT COULD BE YOU being a huge radio hit but apart from Radio Beirut, I don't think it's had much airplay... :-((

Hah, that is superb. Really refreshing to see something that isn't all slick lights and err... lazers these days.
I'd love it to be a hit but to be honest it'd be a surprise if it got anywhere near the top 40. I'm willing to be proven wrong thoguh!

what i most love about the vid (besides Ms Boo's beau-TAY) is that they seem to genuinley be having fun....not a bunch of fake antics fro the camera. i get the same sense with the music too...they are in it for the love of pop, not just for the $.
that is really fresh 'n' wonderful!

I'm not sure why The Boo had to stay on that roof all the time. I'd love to have seen her dive into various bars in Soho dragging out random people and getting them to dance in the street.
More action next time Ms Boo please.

Hmm...
Every link I find for the WigWam video comes up dead. What's going on? Is it a conspiracy?

Wigwam isn't the genius track I hoped it would be. I've only heard it a couple of times though. I like the "Somebody call the cops" bit at the moment but what are the cat noises all about? It will take a lot for this to catch on. I'm not sure about it, and I really want to like it.

According to the current Music Week Wigwam will be featured on Popworld this Saturday. It doesn't say whether it will be an interview or the video.
Something to look forward to, whatever it is, I'd say!

Ah! Thanks Tim!
Hearing the song and seeing the video it all seems perfect. I like the song even more now and Betty does look amazing.

In the travel supplement of today's Independent Alex James is wearing a Wigwam T-shirt in Florence. That is all.

GIG NEWS!! Whitechapel Arts on 31st March. Alex James is doing a solo set -- something to do with space and 'noises from everyday objects' then Alison joins him for the first live performance of Wigwam.
I shan't be going.
