The video for Maneater is more interesting to describe than it is to watch. I like that Nelly stips off her T-shirt at one point to reveal... Another T-Shirt!!! That's because she's used to Canada's intemperate climate.
I actually like Promiscuous Girl - it's grown on me massively since January. The chorus is fantastically catchy, and the detuned panpipes are the sort of thing only Timbaland would put in a pop song.
and dUbscruB, you are no longer the sole voice. I definitely would, too.
But only if I get to go first.

Maneater is utterly amazing!!!! The chorus is the best chorus in a pop song this year so far, it's ace!!!! And i agree, Nelly in front of the flames is very cool, I love it and I'm not really a huge fan of her. This song and Try are her two best efforts I think.
Hate Promiscuous though...

Promiscuous is miles, light years better than the annoying, "seems catchy but isn't" Maneater. And how h o t is Timbaland in the video? I am shocked at myself.

Both tracks are ace,but 'Maneater' is just in a league of its own.Its gonna 'own' the dancefloor this summer.
Promiscuous Girl is so reminiscent of 80's Jam & Lewis, that chorus synth sounds like its lifted straight from an Alexander O Neal track.
She'd kinda flopped there for a while,i like it when artists you've practically written off come back and demand attention with brilliant material.

I'm not sure about the tune with the Timberlake but Maneater is a brilliant, unique pop song. No arguments (the video is shit and nothing new though). She's looking lovely though seems like she's grown out of her acne.

I think he's an American football (as in Super Bowl) player. Steve Nash is a basketballer. . To be more exact, I think he plays with Toronto Raptors.

I just understood Promiscuous. It is in fact amazing. Ladyrapping and general amazingness. And I got a friend to translate No Hay Igual - randy! I like it... the woman has turned into a complete saucepot.

Dancing at the end of Promiscuous with her and Timbaland? The fire scenes were just to look cool, I think?

Promiscuous fucking is making me fall for more and more urban music. I love it!
As for Maneater. it's not what I thought it would be. It's so different. I so love it.
I wouldn't have thought these two songs would come from the same artist on the same CD if I was anyone else.

She's always looked like Courtney Cox, more than a little. I remember when I'm Like a Bird came out there was a Box talk thing with her and she even mentioned it then.

Whether we the people of PopJustice message boards like Promiscuous, it has the makings of a monster hit in the states. hmmm . . .
Seems like she really wanted hits on this album, as compared to the last effort which was a lot different.

Seems like she really wanted hits on this album, as compared to the last effort which was a lot different. That's the impression I got too, she seemed to make a conscious decision to make a pretty serious folk record, after the huge success of "Whoa, Nelly!" - whereas this time round, it's more about having fun and letting your hair down, hence the title "Loose."

She knew she could choose Credible, Folk and Uncertainty or Popular, Urban and Success. I'd choose the latter, too.

Well to be honest, she has been doing a combination of folk and urban since she started. Her singles never really reveal that though. So it's not like she's playing urban to guarantee herself success.
