That is the song that everyone is going on about? Yuck. It was downhill for me the second I saw 'Ft. Timbaland'. Good God. It'll probably be a hit and all the suburban twinks will flood the floor when it comes on. Video is dull as dishwater and she looks awkward and uncomfortable.

That It was downhill for me the second I saw 'Ft. Timbaland'. Not an R&B fan, then? Completely agree with your last sentence, I think the urban posturing is unconvincing & there is no on-screen chemistry between her and timbo in this video. In conclusion a so-so video, for a so-so song... Let's hope she can do 'maneater' justice!

I think that it is bloody briliant. That synth in the chorus is truly ace. Timbaland is a genuis and if you don't think so, you're clearly a moron.

I guess his cameo might encourage airplay for the video, in America at least. And he's fit so it's always nice to see him!

I think he's an American football (as in Super Bowl) player. I haven't watched it yet, but i've read several articles about how Nelly Furtado worked with Justin on this album, although the song isn't going to make the U.S. pressing. I guess they're friends.

Well I think it's fucking marvellous. You know what? I think you're abso-fucking-lutely right. Nelly looks stunning - I might be the lone voice on this one, but I definitely would. As for Timbaland, shall we not? An 'R&B' producer he might be, but he's done more in the way of revolutionising pop music than a good 90% of the artists/producers who get habitually discussed on here. He doesn't get it right every time (see Mel B's ghastly cover of Word Up - actually, don't) but when he delivers, no-one else can touch him. The three Nelly tracks doing the rounds are arguably his best work since the death of Aaliyah. I can't wait to hear the rest.

She looks stunning and the songs are fantastic - the combination of Nelly and Timbaland is perfect. Here's the "Loose" album cover (from Universal Germany):

It is also worth mentioning this song has a great ending. In the way of 'great song endings' Timbaland does deliver them with aplomb - see also Aaliyah's We Need A Resolution and Missy's Work It.

Timbaland and Nelly are a great combination. In the wake of Aaliyah's death there didn't seem to be anyone who could touch her genius. But I think Nelly is a worthy muse, very different but that's a good thing.
That being said there is a slight awkwardness to her dancing, but that's why Aaliyah was such a pro. She'll learn.

The 'maneater' video is just so utterly amazing... she looks incredible.
The best part is where she tells them to 'jump around' and that she wants them "all on their knees' and then they all do it - just great...
Oh, and Nelly in front of the flames looks quite excellent.
And she finds her dog!

The vid is great but she really does need some dancing lesons. This video and song demands an awesome dance routine al a missy.

Well 'maneater' is very good indeed. Which is a complete relief.
Liked the flame-dancing and when she is walking in front of the skyline. It reminds me much of a hybrid of britney's recent videos (i.e. 'slave 4 u' and 'me against the music' particularly),what with all the sweaty dancing and predatory glances.
Well done Nelstar!

I think he's an American football (as in Super Bowl) player. Steve Nash is a basketballer. I'm not really into music videos, but the Maneater one was ok. Great chorus, shame about the verses.

The rooftop part with the sunset light is kind of reminiscent of Madonna´s Bordeline as well The songs are pure genius... she looks amazing... love the way she dances... probably she was very coreographed but it somehow looks natural... makes you wanna dance...

She's looking rather sexy, yet not slutty! Which is good, considering the subject matter. The intro really is rather pointless though, seeing as she just "randomly", as it were, starts dancing anyway. And when she finds him at the end it's rather ridiculous. "Oh Toby! There you are! Looking for my dog, a 4 minute interlude for dancing at an SnM party, finding my dog... a day in the life of Nelly!" etc.

I think they spent all the budget on the album, leaving about £10 left over for the videos. How formulaic were they? What is pop coming to when the most interesting song-and-dance music video for a while comes from the Zutons?

Perhaps it's just me!

Her songs have been floating around for ages haven't they?! Love Maneater, but a bit bored of it now as I've been playing it for so long. The video is a bit odd, the dog thing is just plain weird.
Promiscuous is a bit rubbish to be honest - I hope they spare Europe by not releasing it here. And vest tops really aren't Timbaland's thing clearly.
