I'm new to this site and i live in the states, so unfortunatley i don't get to hear alot of the ppl talked about on here. Clea seems really popular, Lorriaine looks interesting. I like heavy dance tunes with edgy lyrics. i can't listen to music online so i'm just gonna buy one of these girls at the local Tower Records. Also, Sugarbabes look interesting. Either way, you guys are the experts what do you reccomend buying? i don't wanna read reviews, wanna hear from the fans!!

Personally I would say Sugababes - Taller In More Ways, but hey that's just my favourite out of the listed ones.

Of course I recommend Delta Goodrem to the world, as amazing as she is; she isn't 'heavy dance tunes with edgy lyrics.'

Like another poster stated, What Will The Neighbours Say? by Girls Aloud is rather fabulous. It's my second favourite album of two thousand four. Their latest album is even more fabulous. I also live in the "states" and my local Tower Records always stocks a large number of Girls Aloud CD's. When I was there last Saturday they had twelve singles and eight albums in stock.

Does Girls aloud or sugababes write their own music? or who of these girls do? Sugababes write 95% of their own stuff bar the odd cover etc. Girls Aloud have an involvement in some of it but honestly the people who write for them are so good they're better off.. Can you watch stuff on YouTube? If so search for acts you're interested in. There's definitely loads on GA and the Sugababes..

Of the two. I gotta give it to Girls Aloud...though I love the babes. I think if you want dance and edgy lyrics. Go with the Girls. As said, Youtube is your friend.
It's against everything I believe of good music to leave a recommendation thread without mentioning Darren Hayes. You could probably find his first solo album "Spin" somewhere...but "The Tension And The Spark" is a gem (it's moody dance), but it's dance) and will be more difficult to buy...and it'd probably be cheaper it import it.
You could always try Dannii Minogues' "Neon Nights"....or you could wait for her Greatest Hits....
Oh yes....and the Rogue Traders. Not so huge in the UK yet...but they're sure to be.
Jess P.S...from the states too. Thought I'd say hey!

Both Sugababes and Girls Aloud, clearly. But why all these questions? Do some research, boy! Google the lyrics, go to their websites, watch them on youtube.com !!
Anyhow, you want Sugababes volumes 1-4, Girls Aloud - Chemistry (and What Will the Neighbours Say), Rachel Stevens - Come and Get It, Goldfrapp - Supernature and so on. That's the minimum listening that makes you an average PJer. From there on, I'd recommend Kelis, Delta Goodrem, Shakira, MIA...

I would consider saving your money and investing it in some sort of basic literacy class. As fantastic as Girls Aloud are, being able to write coherent sentences (and knowing where to use capital letters and where not to) is even more important.

I'd go with Sugababes, as you're American you should also check out W.I.T (Whatever It Takes), their from NY I think and a good mix of pop and dance...
