'And then we kiss'.
What do you think? I know it has been available for a long time now but i only just heard it today, sounds like it could be on Madonna's 'Confessions...' album, if she sang it obviously!

It is rather brilliant... good direction, methinks.

I'd quite like her to work with the people at DFA again. The demo that leaked was well sexy and her voice sounded unique and almost trip-hoppy.

I'm taking about the 'XL Junkie' remix, is it different to the Demo version?
Might be the same though, like the Ash Howes remix of 'Whole Lotta History' sounded exactly the same as the Album version, near enough!

Oh and dont you think its funny that the 'In the Zone' rejects 'Over to you now', 'Mona Lisa', 'Do Somethin' & 'Chaotic' sound better than anything off it apart from 'Toxic'?
Its like somebody purposely made her make a shit album!

No, I'm talking about a demo version of "Gotta get it" (I don't think it was actually titled) done with the LCD Soundsytem. I think it was recorded for the 'In the Zone' sessions but was left on the cutting room floor. Have you heard it? It's quite remarkable, most the lyrics aren't discernable with britney chirping at the top of her voice like a little girl about being "pissed off". It's as close to grunge that Britney will get.

How can you not like 'Mona Lisa'! The original version was heaps better than the one that turned up on the Chaotic CD, though - is she realling singing 'cause she's cloned'? Cheerio, Michael. xxx

The DFA track has no title officially, as it was never finished - she's singing jibberish/nonsense over most of it, because they "shared no musical ground."

Do you have any more information on this track? I was pretty amazed that they had worked with her anyway. It seems as far removed from their roster as you can get...

Do you have any more information on this track? I was pretty amazed that they had worked with her anyway. It seems as far removed from their roster as you can get... They have said they were approached by her, and thought they'd give it a go, but it just didn't work out. Tim Goldsworthy told "The Guardian": "We felt really confused as to what to do, so we thought, 'Let's try our approach - hanging out for months, listening to records, learning to trust each other, fighting and getting really intense - with a pop star.' So she comes in with her minder and her rules: 'She'll be available from four till seven, we want you to work on lyrics with her ...' Which was just bizarre. I'm lying on the floor of the studio with Britney and a notebook, working on lyrics. Now, I know what kind of lyrics I write and I can't imagine them coming out of her head. I was going, 'Come on, you must hate the world, let's write a song about it!'" They also told another magazine, "That was weird. Won't do that again. No offense to her - she's lovely. Got a foul mouth, though! When we work with people, we hang out, listen to records, share stuff. But with Britney we had absolutely no way of communicating. She didn't know anything that we knew."

I guess it just confirms what we knew already. 'Tis a shame because the demo is very funky. Do you know if the murmurs that she worked with Daft Punk were confirmed? Love the tableau of Tim and Britney staring vacantly at each other on the floor of the studio with a notebook. Fascinating.

I think if she came out working with someone like DFA the way Madonna does it would work better. Madonna seems to go in with a creative vision and colloborate with someone new to bring it to life in a fresh way. It sounds like Britney, while being a sweetheart, has no real creative juice behind other then wanting to perform and make ace pop songs. which is fine but I get the feeling she relies on other producers too much sometimes..

I'm pretty sure I read that she wanted to work with Daft Punk, but they turned her down. Apparently the same is true for William Orbit - she met him in London, but for whatever reason, they never collaborated.
