Can you lovely people please help me? Im sooooo confused as to what is going on with the charts these days!!! Where has all the good POP music gone? Why has it dissapeared from our charts with only a tiny sprinkling of it left? Is it true that POP is making a comeback? if so when? The Question Is: What Does The Nation Want From Pop Music?

Give it 10 years and pop will be back in full swing.

Pop in the u.s. was revived in the late mid-late 80's gradually, and then there were just a few popstars thru the early 90's, and then we got the pop explosion that lasted 98-02, So, i think it's on its way, it just needs someone great to come along. Kind of like Britney, someone to get the music out there and popular again. Someone interesting, i've heard some good pop songs lately, but no one new and exciting.

We need another Spice Revolution. Not necessarily the Girls themselves, but another no-apologies POP group with verve, snap, flair, and a whole lotta je ne sais quoi and joie de vivre and frére jacques.
Girls Aloud were very close. They came slightly after the fact, however, and were the result of a reality show that robbed them of that very important 'out of nowhere' factor.
