AKA the group from Boys Will Be Girls.
Admittedly Nathan Moore is weird as, and the concept is horrible, but Martin seems really, really sweet and the song itself is actually pretty great. Thoughts?

Is this song actually getting a release?
For my money the song and video are better than anything Girls Aloud have done since The Show.

It's been released for download. Check out Channel 4's Slashmusic for more information.
I really liked it too!

I cant think of his name, but the one from Scooch is my favourite, he is just comical because he doesnt look at all feminine, but still tries!!
Austin is the one who pisses me off though, he just complains about everything!

It troubles me that I fancy Martin both as a boy (bad enough I hear you cry!) and as a girl...

Quite like the song. Not sure how it'd stack up in the charts but it's a pleasant enough listen and a nice addition to my iTunes

This is evil. What has been done to those poor boys is nothing short of evil. To be taken, to have all your hopes and dreams snatched from you and to be turned into a laughing stock for cheap petty thrills makes me sad.
How degrading though the title of the group shows that the team behind them have a little humour in their black blood.

Not being funny, but they could leave at any time, some of the guys already did, so they only have themselves to blame.

Not being funny, but they could leave at any time, some of the guys already did, so they only have themselves to blame. The bar is depressingly low for pop these days and this show offers some crushed ex singers a ray of hope. But it's misguided and actually quite unpleasant, the whole point of the show and the format is...well I'm not sure. Why have they got to become women pop singers? I don't get it. It's stupid fuckwits that watch this type of shit that need their heads checked.

I really don't get what the point of all this wank is - I haven't watched the show at all (I've never watched any reality shows aside from the US Hell's Kitchen, which was hysterical) but I gathered from the PJ story on this a few weeks ago, Nathan "Cockmuncher Extreme" Moore said "they have to make this work", and the whole point according to the E4 adverts was they had to "fool" the public into thinking they were girls. This is the part I'm having trouble with -
THEY'RE ON A FREAKING TV SHOW! WE KNOW THEY AREN'T GIRLS! In what way exactly are we now supposed to be "fooled" and if that was their initial brief, how in the hell are they now going to "have to make this work"?
I just don't get it. I see the boat, there seem to be some people on it, and yet I am not one of them. I missed it, and I'm very glad of that.

No I haven't seen a single episode bar a few clips on E4. I don't need to see this show to know it for what it is - exploitative and nasty. Yes, the boys possibly deserve it for wanting so desperately to be famous but does that make it right? Shit like this could be shut down if people just turned it off. Of course I'm not a stupid fuckwit. But neither am I Gavinh so at the end of the day that's a small mercy.

The point of the show is fairly obvious. It's to provide E4 with yet another gap-filler to mark time until Big Brother begins and they can once more devote 23 hours a day to this oh-so-exciting show. Fair enough, the channel redeems itself by screening the best US imports, but without them it's wallpaper TV.
Sure, Boys Will Be Girls is an exploitative and tawdry concept, but that's nothing new in reality TV. If the last few years have taught us anything, it's that the bottom of the barrel has more layers than you ever thought possible.

I've watched bits and pieces of it but I find it very uncomfortable to watch. Whilst I have no problem with transvestitism, I find the concept of this show peculiar and without any point to it. There seems no good reason, apart from to raise the profile of what would otherwise be three male singers releasing a great song that never got heard. But it's an incredibly horrible idea - why make them 'sing like girls'? That's going to fuck up their voices, and at any rate they don't even sound like girls when they sing. Boys naturally have a deeper range than girls and to force them to falsetto half the time is going to damage their chords.

I would never dismiss a whole genre because every genre (including pop music) has good moments and horribly banal moments. In terms of reality tv I watch Big Brother - it's the best reality tv show there is and as part of our culture and summertime viewing as the Olympics or whatever. But Mike is right in saying the bottom of the barrel has more layers than you ever thought possible though what he forgets to mention is that the bottom of the barrel also has people willing to scrape it.

Not being funny, but they could leave at any time, some of the guys already did, so they only have themselves to blame. I only watched one episode, the first one, and found it exploitative and mean-spirited. Fame is addictive and once you've had a taste of it, you want more. To see these guys get all hopeful that this could be 'the big chance' only for that slimy cuntrag Nathan Moore to smirk his tits off as he told them the real story was really quite unpleasant. Sure they could 'leave at any time' but it still leaves a very nasty taste in my mouth. Of course, this is another example of the music business being made a mockery of to satisfy the slobbering masses who devour that rubbish that's pumped out on E4. No wonder pop music is gasping its last.

I do like the name 'The Honeytraps' though. It's very 60s girl group-ish.

Whether I had seen the show or not, I would never believe they were girls. I don't think anyone would. Does that mean the plan failed?
The song is a bit rubbish too. The vocals do sound vaguely female but I still don't think I would be fooled. The video is quite nice, but again they just look like men in dresses. What a big waste of time that was. I think Nathan is used to that though.

I still don't understand why this had to be done at all. They keep talking about "or we fail", but surely in order to fail at something you have to have something meaningful you are working towards in the first place. Is it just to look like a girl band?
The whole concept is a bit silly. As others have said, it is just a setup for us to laugh at the hopeless wannnabe boybanders in an awkward situation. Atleast they have done it in good humour. I still don't understand why the 'team' are always so serious... have they forgotten that they are not launching the next Girls Aloud, but makng a TV show abbout a bunch of boys in drag?
I feel sorry for most people involved. They have all ended up looking like the ones who have failed in the pop industry and are trying to hang on to some limelight and credibility just by being involved in a project which has some kind of recognition.

How many episodes are left of this show? Maybe their challenge is to fool a live audience but what that would accomplish is beyond me.

The concept isn't exactly rocket science - take some failed pop singers and turn them into women for reasons nobody can fathom. Read all the other comments bar your own and see that nobody quite knows what the show is about. And you must learn to elevate yourself above cheap petty attacks which have no relevance in any kind of reality. You will (as longtime posters in this forum very well know) in time learn that my wrath is substantial in comparison to your dial-a-cliche queen mannerisms and you are coming close to provoking me. EDIT: For the love of God learn to use CAPS.

Is it wrong to think that i'd be really good in a similar group? I watched the most recent episode. Russ is barely in it because he looks like a bloke in a dress, as opposed to Martin's fairly convincing lady. So because of this whole 'fool...no one' strategy, he would 'give it away' to the music journos who watched the video.
