Cher still holds the record for most mature woman with a number one hit in the U.S.(Believe, she was 52)(dont know about the rest of the world). Anyway, who do you guys think will be the next Pop Star to do that?? I can see Kylie breaking that record overseas for sure,(does blondie have it for the uk?) but for the U.S. i wanna say Britney maybe, that's quite aways off. But i think if Madonna tries, she'll break it. What do u guys think? It could be anyone.

Madonna will do it, and possibly Mariah too. Britney will be long gone off the music scene before she reaches 30 let alone 50.

If Moira Stewart wins Celebrity X Factor then I wouldn't put it past her.

I have alot of faith in Brit, but she's only 24. I didn't think of Mariah Carey, but that's an obvious one.

Mariah isn't even 40 yet is she? Talk about counting chickens....
and yes, Debbie Harry was 53, one year older than Cher, when she hit #1 with 'Maria'.

There's no age barrier for men as artists, especially not like there is for women. Gwen Stefani says it best. "you're moment will run out cause of your sex chromosone." (sp?) sometimes when i want to laugh, i think of Whitney singing "they can't take a way my dignity."

The way Whitney's going she'll be lucky to LIVE to see 50, let alone be celebrating a #1.

is she only 60? she is great and cute and fab and everything but I thought she was about 75/80!
Oh, and it'll probably be Madonna as she isn't that far off it now - 50 in 2 years and 3 months isn't she?

Well we all know how these American La La Land celebrities like to lie about their ages.
I think Jackie Stallone claimed to be younger than Sylvester before. Silly cow.

Alexander Bard (BWO) and another pop/electro/alternative project for the future, hahahahaha.
Because I noticed he's in the music's public eye since late 80s with 3 music groups(Army Of Lovers, Vacuum and BWO now)

She's doing it again? I love her "golden eye" song from "wildest dreams." Right after the last one, they said Cher was signed on to do the theme. I thought that was weird, but it'd be cool. Seeing how Madge and Tina already have.

Cher won't be doing the Bond theme... guarantee that.
I don't think there's been an official word as to who is recording it. Tony Christie, George Michael, Robbie Williams, U2 and Tina Turner are all names that have been thrown out for either writing, recording or both... but no one has been confirmed.
