I didn't think so, but it's unlike her to not try and help promote someone...then again, she likes to be all about her!! love her!

I hate support acts anyway. You pay money to see the main act. Having to listen to anyone else(unless it also happens to be someone you like) is just a pain in the rectal area.

I remember Technotronic were her opening act for "Blonde Ambition", techno-chronic more like, as for "Girlie Show", it was some God awful r 'n'b act similar to Boyz II Men who I think she'd signed to Maverick. As for support acts, Sugababes and Beverley Knight opening for Take That sounds pretty fan-fuckingtastic to me. Someone like Goldfrapp would be beyond perfect for Madonna.

Riverwide, Madonna is only going to a set performance, which will last a set amount of time, beginning at a pre-specified time (probably 9). What's the harm in getting another act to perform in the hour and a half before Madonna comes on? You'd rather sit there flicking through your overpriced program and watching the looped adverts on the big screens?

I agree. They didn;t even have a DJ on DW and RIT. Technotronic opening for her was kinda embarrasing but it the tour started in USA were Technotronic were just getting hay-uge at the time, while in Europe they started to go off a bit.
Goldfrapp seems like a natural choice, though Rachel Stevens would be amazing - Lourdes likes her after all!

I'd love it if Rhianna opened for her, but I don't want anyone there that's not a madonna fan first.

Revolutionary I know, but why not arrive at the venue later or go for a few drinks in the bar and talk to other humans?

Revolutionary I know, but why not arrive at the venue later or go for a few drinks in the bar and talk to other humans? Whilst I understand that someone who spends their life making enemies on an Internet message board, the idea of the rare bit of human contact and drowning your sorrows may sound appealing - but that is not what we're talking about here. Of course you can fill your time before a gig in numerous exciting ways, but, my point was that as you are going to see a performance, the opportunity to see another act beforehand is an excellent prospect. Especially considering, when you've paid £160 per ticket you're not going to arrive 5 minutes before the performance, get in and find your seats.

There will be no opening act. Which is GOOD because for a show like Madonna's it's annoying.

if the set is going to be disco-like, she better get someone who does the euro-pop then...

Madonna has talked about how she doesn't like having opening acts on her tours. While personally I think it might work against her - nothing better than an ace warm up act to get the crowd popping - she's proven time and again that she knows what's she's doing.

You can bet she'll have a long, drawn out intro before she comes on stage. Something that will whip the crowd into a frenzy like the freaky Beast Within did on the last tour.

A good idea ideally, but every concert I've ever been to has had some dire support act that has done nothing but make me want to wash my eyes with bleach in desperation to get them out of my line of sight. You're never going to get Sugababes supporting Girls Aloud. It's always some crappo second rate or "up and coming" group who no one otherwise would care about. My experience, anyways...
