What a beautiful song, I hope her solo career is not ignored. I don't even think that her last single 'Love Show' even saw the light of day (even with great Tom Novy remix). I think her solo stuff is better than Morcheeba, I've heard a promo of her debut album and it really should be massive if there is any popjustice, its way better than Corrine BR!

I'm pretty sure Love Show was cancelled at the last minute, and the album was put back for months. I hope it is miles better than Corrine Bailey-Rae, her album was disappointing. But Skye deserves some decent material, she has a beautiful voice.

Gorgeous voice, absolutely shockingly bad record. Shame.

Disagree - very good album and less annoying than Corinne. Can you explain why it is shockingly bad? Stop Complaining, Tell Me All About Your Day, Love Show - all great songs.
Produced by Patrick Leonard, Gary Clark (of Danny Wilson) and Daniel Lanois. You just have to be the type to not label it Starbucks music. It's a bit more mature than what this board usually discusses.
If you like Zero 7, Sia, Mozez, Frou Frou, etc this is a good record for you. If you like Mrs. Robinson it is not. (unless you are very diverse!)
Will be doing a post about this on my blog in less than a day...

I really liked the album, but I'm not gonna try to claim it's full of stand-out singles. I can see the Zero 7 comparisons, it's very relaxing as background music, while being quite involving if you take the time to listen to it closely.

I just wasn't expecting an album so dull, so devoid of memorable melodies and hooks and below par songwriting. I am also a massive Morcheeba fan so perhaps my disapointment is still too strong and recent. There aren't any risks taken here and for someone with such a distinctive voice she could have carved out a niche for herself as a solo artist with a strong solo record.
Doesn't look like that's going to happen with little radio support and lacklustre reviews. It's a shame but I feel that both Skye and Morcheeba are worse off now.

Have you listened to Tell Me All About Your Day? Where are the bad reviews?

Where are the bad reviews? i've not seen any reviews of it, but i can imagine exactly what they'd be! i've heard the whole album and gave it many chances as i was such a big morcheeba fan but my disappointment was huge. I guarantee that this album and its singles will not make an impression at radio or on the general public, it's just not good music. Zero 7 comparisons are fair enough, but their tunes are much stronger in my opinion. PS: i think Mrs Robinson are ok but would certainly challenge anyone who thought I wasn't qualified to comment on Skye because of that!

The record is not really anything like Morcheeba. I don't think she is aiming for this demographic. I guarantee YOU if she were to get Love Show or another track on one episode of "Grey's Anatomy" she would end up in Imogen Heap land. It's all a matter of marketing and PJustice are not Skye' s people.
We are going to have to agree to disagree.

I love Sia, Mozez, Zero 7 AND Frou Frou, but this album bored the living shit out of me. It's just one endless song. Corinne's album leaves it for dead.
Then again, Imogen Heap's solo stuff left me so cold I had to put on layers, so maybe I'm just not meant to get it...

I'm shocked by the extremes of opinion on this, I can understand why someone might not love the album but to call it boring or shockingly bad is beyond me, to me shockingly bad is .....oh I can't think......Ronan Keating or Gnarls Barkley....................can't wait for PSB album on Monday!!!
