Good, bad, or indifferent? Liked the SEB hair not sure about those boots and she seemed a bit clompy.
Discuss.
EDIT: Should I have put this in the TV board bit? This new PJ world is too complicated.
I need a map.
And instructions.

It's amazing what a horn can do for a song... why wasn't they on the actual record?
Still don't care much for her or the track. Both mutton dressed as lamb really.

Speaking of clompy - what about Jessica Simpson's Lady Penelope impersonation? Jamelia was every inch a superstar, who knew you could dance to that song. Sadly I missed Jenita. I just didn't want to start a new thread basically the same as yours.

All of the above.
The beauty of the performance was how amateur it seemed. However her shaking horrified me.
Loving the sirens/horns and the timbaland production.

Sorry, but Jamelia's dirty laugh there demands my full attention for after the break...

Yeah, Jessica seemed to be radioactive. She was very orange. Heaven knows what her sister's gonna vomit up onto the dinner plate of pop. Jamelia is a Goddess, there's no other word for her. It's true though, you can't beat a horn..... rylibweb.man.ac.uk/data1/dg/exhibition/sounds/horn.gif [/img]

Slightly off topic but does Cat look horrible today - there's something wrong with her eyes? Sorry if that sounds bitchy, she just normally looks quite pretty.

There's been something wrong with Cat's eyes for years, she had to have laser surgery a few years back, and she always squints at the autocue as a result.
I missed Jentina, because I was watching the Busted video on TOTP Saturday.

I missed Jentina, because I was watching the Busted video on TOTP Saturday. Me too, and then I switched over expecting to see their other one on The Box and it was the same so I could have watched Jentina after all. Then I missed most of Phixx's performance watching Busted's tour diary on the other side. Grrr at Busted. Jessica

I found myself thinking about that old "rumour" about a Pop Princess injecting heroin into her feet and wondering if it was referring to her. (Not that I am implying anything of the sort about Cat, of course) And wasn't her line of questioning about Asian pop "going mainstream" just a little racist? Poor Cat. 2 slices of Cucumber on the eyes for next week please. We want some zing in that thing. (Yes, of course my life is full and meaningful, what makes you think it isn't?)

And wasn't her line of questioning about Asian pop "going mainstream" just a little racist? And off-topic. It's quite funny that they encourage the panel to say controvertial and quotable things, but it's supposed to be a video review, not a deconstruction of the whole music business. I'm getting bored with every review of a Pop Idol/Popstars/Fame Academy video coming down to a debate on the rights and wrongs of reality tv music. I loved that it was unethical to like Girls Aloud because the only point of Pop Idol was to make good tv by making people cry, except we can think they are good if they've sold lots of records. Not like Hearsay, they are crap because they didn't sell as many records as Girls Aloud and lots of people bought Evergreen so it must be good too.

What annoys me about Cat (apart from the v patronising way she speaks to guests) is the double standards. She was quite happy to take shedloadsa cahs to present and big up 2 Fame Academy's but in between gleefully slagged off and encouraged nasty comments about reality popstars and the shows. Hoping to end their careers.

Jentina's was like every other big debut CDUK has. Great build up, opens big so you think it's gonna be something really special and then comes the performance. And that rarely fails to disappoint. All a bit stagey and shitty.
With her pointing and posing though she reminded me of Victoria Beckham slightly, but with a bit more writhing and a couple of shakes.
My favourite part about it though was Kat's intro and outro. She introduced her with the Romany mother, 12 or 13 brothers and sisters stuff and then at the end of the performance proceded to tell us how she used to live next door to Matt from Busted.
I love it! So which CBBC drama do you think she appeared in? And when will we find out about her once being in a group with one of the girls from Lemonescest?
I think I love her!!!

I thought she seemed very ill-at-ease. Which is certainly not how I'd have described her at the MTV Base Spankin' New Music event, where I first saw her. Maybe it's the younger crowd that intimidates her.
Love the song, but the performance was a bit iffy. And was she miming? Rappers should never mime. Never.

I noticed this too. I think that her make-up and lack of eyebrows made her face look very washed out. She's been like this for a few weeks, looking pallid and depressed. One of the presenters on MOM got a stiff telling off for making a sarky comment about Cat's recent appearance.

Love the song, but the performance was a bit iffy. And was she miming? Rappers should never mime. Never. She was miming and it looked odd, but it explains why she was so quick to defend Britney for miming on tour last week. Never mind serious musos, she thinks McFly are good because they play their own instruments.

Does anyone have a video file of this performance by any chance?
