AKA "Let's Plug The Shit Out Of The Fantastic Four".
Paul Weller - From The Floorboards Up Bananarama - Move In My Direction Madness - Driving In My Car Inaya Day - Nasty Girl Ben Moody/Anastacia - Everything Burns Hayseed Dixie - Roses Charlotte Church - Crazy Chick Take That - TBA #1 SINGLE INTERVIEW: Cast of Fantastic Four
That actually isn't too bad, well, in comparison to Monday's it doesn't. The promo for that crap movie aside, the first BBC2 show looks quite watchable. I wonder what Take That song they'll pluck out of the archives.

I wonder what Take That song they'll pluck out of the archives. "Everything Changes"? But not necessarily for the better...

Okay. So. Just watched it. What. The hell. Was that?
Pointless Fantastic Four interview with vague relation to music, two old performances crowbarred in without even a vague attempt to make them relevant, Bananarama proving it's a good idea to keep pop music mimed (and preferably without any attempts at dancing), Paul Weller doing the worst miming in the world ever, and Inaya Day back for some unknown reason.
Thank the lord for Charlotte Church and Hayseed Dixie.
(Next week: Texas, McFly and Daniel Powter. Well, that's a BIT better...)

Bananarama were cool, as was Charlotte. Hayseed Dixie were fun. Phil Jupitus was funny and I liked the Take That and Madness archive perfomances, but Fearne is so annoying! After Live 8 how does she still have this job?! Ouch.

Inaya Day was probably the best on there ! Heaven knows why they had Hayseed Dixie on, dreadful. I agree the archive clips just seem irrelevant. Looking forward to Daniel next week though

Fearne made so many mistakes. She seemed really nervous, but she never normally is like that. It was strange. She even announced the Anastacia song as Everybody Hurts! (it's Everything Burns)

It was really ropey. I fear its going to alienate both the audiences that watched the individual shows. Seriously... how many people will have flicked over when Paul Weller came on?
Will Fearne have taken a paycut now she's moved to bbc2?

I fail to see the point of having so many "archive" performances. As if buyers of Crazy Frog want to see Take That and Madness leaping around like idiots from 10+ years ago.

Sorry to sound dim but what time is it on at now? Am I the only person in the world who wants to see Fantastic Four? It's not even on at my local cinema!

Jeremy is kinda not the guy for this... his humor is just not funny when it's not about cars. Fearne is sweet though, nice bling on her neck! And what a shite performances..even McFly diappointed by wearin glasses, leather jackets and dodgy sweaters...

McFly both looked and sounded terrible.
When I picked up that Danny's leather jackets perhaps didn't look right her immediate response was "Well look at Dougie". Something that's actually impossible seeing as all cameras on all tv shows seem to have Dougie allergies as the guy gets about 3 seconds of camera time everytime they play.

I've missed it again! There is just something not right about this whole Sunday night show.
Is it repeated anytime?

It's dying a death! I thought Clarkson was almost amusing with his slagging off of all the acts. Poor Fearne seems abit lost though.
I really think the programme will be axed soon. They don't seem to be making any effort with it thesedays.
They should put it into the Doctor Who slot on saturday evening and get some big names on. They oughta make sure they get Madonna on when she starts promoting her new album in the autumn and use that to push the whole show...Radio Times cover etc etc.

I haven't seen the new Sunday show of TOTP yet, so i can't comment on that, but TOTP has gone rather crap over the years. They don't seem to get many big names 'live in the studio' anymore, probably mainly because it is no longer as important a show as it was years ago. I mean TOTP and The ITV Chart Show were the only pop music shows on TV and so if you were interested in music that's what you had to watch. Nowadays we've got countless music TV channels which we can watch 24/7, so unless TOTP can provide something special it's going to die a death very soon in my opinion (as we're seeing!). One thing i will say is that I think TOTP should just focus on the live performances and not play music videos, as we can all see music videos 24/7 so we don't need to see them on TOTP anymore. If it's going to survive it needs to go back to basics. The problem is though that many big artists won't find a TOTP appearance necessary now to have success in our charts, as the music channels provide plenty of promotion. Being on TOTP is no longer essential to gaining success, that's the problem in this matter.

It would be better if Holly Willoughby presented it.
