Whatever happened to this toothy face of "Yoof" TV? She used to get a lot of stick on "Absolutely Fabulous".

Who used to refer to her all the time as Amanda de Cadgealift?

Wasn't she married to a Duran? I'm also now wondering what happened to her odious little brother "Bruiser" or "Buster" or whatever preposterous name he went by.

she is a photographer, shooting for nylon and vogue and loads more. if you can find last months vogue, it had a big hollywood portfolio, shot by her.

It was indeed Bruiser, although I've just Googled him and I still can't find out what his real name was, or what he's doing now. I seem to recall he was a photographer - presumably not a very good one.

Bruiser was an "artist", I remember one of "The Word" shows wheer he was covering for the sis who was off having the bairn, and there was a feature on his recent exhibition, he was trying to explain two messy red circles of red paint on a blank canvas. Then he was trying to explain a "piece" quite similar, but with three circles. Amanda also made a cameo in the Madonna film, "Four Rooms", she rises out of a cauldron in slow motion. And that is it.

Amanda also appeared in Grace Of My Heart, which is a great film, as one of the many blond secretaries that one of the characters has. She has one scene where she has to talk quietly into a phone, possibly to discuss radio play.

Amanda will be featured alongside the likes of Mandy Smith and Annabella Lwin on Channel 4's Whatever Happened To The Wildchilds? on Wednesday October 12th... I've just watched the first one tonight, The Gender Benders... tomorrow is The Mini Pops, what a genius idea this was, whoever came up with it.

When you say 'Got to be certain' I really hope you don't mean the fab Kylie song and perhaps another one for the vacant footballers wife to "sing" (I'll admit that's a bit overly hopeful)

Did anyone see this show? I wonder that too. The problem was maybe that it was shown straight after the Will Young video, and many of us were in a state of emotional turmoil after that. Like this lady: ...after watching the video exclusive last night, I was so traumatised, that I had to retire to my bedroom and take a strong sniff of smelling salts. Personally I thought that one was quite much like a Bruce Weber production (Pet Shop Boys etc.), with a safe kind of dreamlike atmosphere, and the men being more beautiful than the distinctly beautiful women. But it didn't overwhelm me so much that I didn't enjoy the Wildchild show more. It turns out that Emma Ridley has ended up as a farmer, and Annabella Lwin as a Buddhist nun, both in California. Or something. But Mandy Smith I'm not sure they followed up on. The last I remember was pictures of her marrying a Flemish footballer, and the voice-over saying they divorced shortly afterwards. And there was even less on Amanda De Cadenet.
