A week next Sunday there is a Popworld McFly special. 1.15pm on T4. Hopefully it will be as good as the Busted one they did, from the description it sounds like it will be. The description is hilarious and just 'so' Popworld, have a read...
Way back in the summer of 2005, Popworld presenters Simon Amstell and Miquita Oliver decided to make a documentary about the then-popular musical group McFly as they prepared to release Wonderland, the follow-up to their record breaking debut album Room on the Third Floor. Now unearthed for the first time, this gritty and challenging rockumentary takes the viewer on a musical journey through the story of what was to become one of the UK's biggest ever pop acts, complete with in-depth interviews, performances and commentary from the film makers themselves.

EXCELLENT. The Busted one has near legendary status- I can't wait for this, Simon is so brilliant with McFly.

Times like these remind of why I am so glad to be British-we truly are masters of the double entendre.

Good times but HOW MANY times did they want to play I'll be OK/All about you (to a lesser extent.) You'd think with two albums to choose from that they might have used another few different songs?

They played the promo version of 'I Wanna Hold You' and not the album version as well. I very much liked Simon's 'various shades of beige in her hair' comment.
McFly don't seem as easy to interview as Busted did. Tom talks a lot, but the other three, especially Dougie seem quite hard to talk to.

Does anyone know if it's going to be repeated?

I watched the first 15 minutes because I needed a fresh fix of "The Amstell". I had to turn it off though. I couldn't get into it, Maybe it was just a poor start. Also I don't like McFly

It was hilarious! in all honesty Simon and Miquita could have done the same thing with anyone and it would have been great. They are so good together, but I think the beret and sunglasses stole the show in the bits where there are looking back artistically.
Bitchin'!

i did love it - any chance for a sunday moning perv over Snoop Dougie Doug! haha. Though didn't laugh as much as when watching the busted special. and i also got annoyed at the excessive 'I'll be Ok' playing....especially as i much prefer dougie's version.

I don't know, it helps that McFly know exactly the right level of sarcasm that Simon and Miquita use, you only have to watch Popworld to see that some guests don't seem to get it. It's good none of them take themselves seriously. I liked when Simon asked Harry if he was going to do a Charlie Simpson, and Simon said that he found Charlie leaving very sad! The actual 'film' was very funny, then when you added the 'directors commentary' it took it to another level.

I love McFly mainly because of Harry though, and Dougie. They tease the gays all the time.
I was watching McFly Unzipped on TMF last year and Harry was tweaking Dougies nipples while they were looking into each others eyes.
It left me wanting more. Its Love-Hate i tell you.

Oh, and I forgot about the hilarious space hopper race. And the football match when Harry was putting his hands down his pants.

Does anyone know if it's going to be repeated? According to Sky it's going to be repeated next Saturday at 12.50pm sometime after normal Popworld retuns.

I really enjoyed this...I love Simon & Miquita, and I just love it how they rip into people and don't care what they think...and they're quite matey with McFly anyway. But I think Simon has a little crush on Dougie...don't you think?
The repeat is on today by the way after Friends on T4.

I was highly amused by Dougie throwing the space hopper at Harry, and it rebounding and smacking him in the head. That was definitely my favourite moment.
It's programmes like that that remind me exactly why I've devoted the past two years of my life to obsessing over those boys.
